Publisher's Summary

Hope Harbor Police Chief Lexie Graham has plenty on her plate raising her son alone and dealing with a sudden rash of petty theft and vandalism in her coastal Oregon hometown. As a result, she has zero time for extracurricular activities - including romance. Ex-con Adam Stone isn't looking for love either - but how ironic is it that the first woman to catch his eye is a police chief? Yet wishing for things that can never be is foolish.

Nevertheless, when Lexie enlists Adam's help to keep a young man from falling into a life of crime, sparks begin to fly. And as they work together, it soon becomes apparent that God may have a different - and better - future planned for them than either could imagine.

Lauded by Library Journal as "a master at character development", Irene Hannon welcomes listeners back to this charming Oregon seaside village where hearts heal - and love blooms.

IRENE HANNON STRIKES THE HEART AGAIN!

Not sure how, but I managed to listen to Sandpiper Cove and Pelican Point out of order. But Irene Hannon is so good at building her characters, somehow, it didn't pose a problem. I'm just sorry that I've come to the end of the series. I sincerely hope that a new release isn't too far into the future. I love Hope Harbor! Once I listened to all the books in this series, my mind and heart are cleansed, satisfied and ready to return to a good mystery thriller.

Therese Plummer...you're the BEST!!!!

Hands Down, Hannon!

Or shall I say Hands Up? In this book Hannon pairs up an ex-con, a female Chief of Police & a troubled youth. I thought that made an excellent mix for this story!!! Actually believable as Well! This story is 1 I go back to & listen again..10 stars out of 5!

Absolutely loved everything about this book!

I have thoroughly enjoyed every visit I've made to Hope Harbor, and this may have been the best yet! I am a total sucker for a good redemption story and for those who have never been loved finding love and this story hits all those spots and more. I absolutely loved everything about it. I loved the slow reveal of Lexie's history and how she began to find healing in this story. I loved Adam most of all with his humility and complete openness to the transforming work of God in his life. The ways he was used to touch and bless so many in this community I've come to love were told so well, and I was so encouraged by the ways God uses everything in our lives that we are willing to give Him access to. Highly recommend all of the Hope Harbor books and this one in particular.

Uplifting

Once again, Therese Plummer shines in her narration. Her ability to bring each character alive just enhances Irene Hannon's marvelous storytelling. It is so refreshing to read a book without vulgarity and other unnecessary scenes - enough said. Ms. Hannon has the ability to bring you right into the story.

Enjoyed Thoroughly

This was another sweet tale by Irene Hannon. I found it engaging, sprinkled with inspirational messages but not heavy handed. Therese Plummer does a great job narrating. I enjoy all the recurring characters in this series, and the familiarity of the town. It’s fun to spot the likely focus of the next book in the series planted amidst the previous tale. Everything is neatly wrapped up in a bow by the end of each of these books. Not so much in real life, but that’s part of the appeal - a respite from the messy world we live in. I recommend this book and the whole series.

Pack your bags...I want to visit

Irene Hannon - Wow such a great story with details that are really visible. I hunt for Therese Plummer, her reading voice is so relaxing and absorbing. Such a treat when writer and reader have such special talents and share them with the world.
The world needs more kind humans and special little towns of quality.

Touching story, easy listen, romantic, relatable

I really enjoy how in this series the author spends time letting you know how they characters are feeling and what they are thinking and gives time to exploring that. It helps me relate to the characters, want to embrace them, fight for them, and cheer them on. I love how there is a deeper spiritual element to these stories. I’m a big fan of stories where the two characters that fall in love grow personally through events in a story & Irene does this beautifully. I found out about her series through the Audible Romance package ... now I am buying the books not in the package because I am hooked on her series. Good choice to put the first few books on the romance package because I’m sure I am not the only one who has gotten hooked through those first few freebies.

Second Chances for Many People

I loved this trip to Hope Harbor! Sandpiper Cove is so lovely and relaxing, a bit isolated but with a great view. The perfect place for Adam Stone to build his new life.
This story's main focus is on Adam and Lexie with appearances by series favorites Charley, Rev. Baker, Father Murphy, and of course, seagulls Floyd and Gladys. With a well-timed (or not) belch or bark by Casper.
This may be one of my favorite books with the story of redemption, forgiveness, faith, and trust shining through.
As with the other books in the series, I enjoy how the author shows the attraction between the characters. It may be a bit too "world" view for some and not Christian enough for others. I find it to be a refreshing real-life depiction of a budding relationship.

I really enjoy listening to this narrator. She does a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life. The definition of each chapter is precise. It is a great combination of the author style and the narrator's style.
