Second Chance - BDSM Romance

Salvation by Jane Henry is a second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire. This is the fourth book in the NYC Doms series and can be read as a standalone.

I absolutely love Jane’s books! They always pull me in and leave me begging for more. I really enjoyed the relationship between Chandra and Noah “Axel”. Their history was messy but you couldn’t help but root for them.

I can’t wait to dive into more books in this series in the near future.

Gunnar and Jenna did a great job on the narration. I absolutely love duet narration it just brings the story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves BDSM Romances, Second Chance Romances, or Romantic Suspense.

Another hit

I'm finding out that Jane Henry's books are really great to listen to in audio. The two narrators did a wonderful job and it was very easy to listen too.

A steamy, hot research project

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write about BDSM clubs and do research on them?  Well then this book is what you are seeking. Claudia is a writer who needs to do research for her latest book. Salvation follows her through the writing process and gives us readers some insight on how it is to write about a topic that is not always accepted. Axel is hiding from his past. But you truly cannot hide from your past, and Axel's catches up to him. A huge storm brings this odd couple together.  Their relationship is hot, heavy and most certainly kinky, for research of course!  Or is it only for research?  Putting this book down, is NOT an option. The twists will capture your mind and make you question ever new character introduced. Trust is earned and until the end, I was unsure who could be trusted.

Jane Henry has once again brought this series to a new level. I enjoyed get insights into writing about BDSM clubs and her hints at some possible struggles. Salvation is my new favorite book!!

Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire totally nailed the narration of this book. Gunnar is the perfect Axel. With his deep voice, he makes Axel the strong Dominant he needs to be. Jenna creates a curious, and sweet Claudia. Jenna brought Claudia to life. I felt as if I was right there inside the book. The chemistry between Gunnar and Jenna shine through in their narration and characters. Axel and Claudia's relationship was hotter because of it. Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire made this story well worth the listen.

Hero: Former priest who is now a lay person. He’s a very strong Dominant personality and doesn’t let the heroine off the hook, when she’s in trouble she’s in trouble. I like him, he’s well written and the love they share was written well!

Heroine: I can’t say that I like this girl a lot!! She’s an actual adult (over 22), She’s not an air head, she knows what she wants and she’s good with her own need for submission. She doesn’t try to fight it but accepts it and is beautiful! She doesn’t make stupid decisions to get his attention and her love is written well as well.

Best part of the book: I love that they have history, this history made it very believable how fast they moved in the relationship and I could see this as a very real scenario.

Worst part of the book: I wish it was longer!

Second chance D/s Romance

Axel and Chandra are given a second chance at love and sexual freedom when they find themselves stranded at a BDSM club during blizzard. It’s hot, it’s sensual it’s alpha male goodness. The D/s dynamic feels genuine. The narrators do a great job. And if all the naughty fun isn’t enough there is also a suspense element. I would be interested to find out is that is the thread that connects this series or if it’s the club. This can also be read as a stand alone because this was my first in the series and I never felt lost or out of place.
