Publisher's summary
Carwyn ap Bryn and Brigid Connor are two elemental vampires finding the lost, righting wrongs, and searching for meaning in the endless stretch of immortality they’ve been granted.
And trying not to blow things up, but that might be more aspirational.
Everyone said that Lupe Martínez was a good kid. She listened to her mom, she helped at the homeless shelter, she got good grades, and she had a bright future ahead of her.
Until she disappeared.
Now, no one knows what to think. The police are sure she ran away; her mother is sure she didn’t.
Days have passed, and no one knows what to do, until her family priest suggests they call in an old friend.
A very old friend.
Saint’s Passage is the first book in the paranormal mystery series Elemental Covenant by Elizabeth Hunter, USA Today best-selling author of the Elemental Legacy series, the Glimmer Lake Series, and the Irin Chronicles.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Robin Brannon was a normal wife, mom, and antique-shop owner until a brush with death turned her day-to-day life upside down. Now she and her two best friends are seeing things that belong in a fantasy novel. Ghosts. Visions. Omens of doom. Nothing that belongs in the peaceful mountain town they call home. Added to that, Robin’s marriage is on the rocks, her grandmother’s health is failing, her mother is driving away the customers at her shop, her teenage daughter refuses to get her driver’s license, and her left knee aches every darn morning.

Story
It is said that the Neverseen King comes for a bride every hundred years. I thought it was only legend—until he came for me. I am one of twelve assassins forced to compete for the hand of our unseen king, who I'm beginning to doubt is even human at all. Why he needs a bride, much less one who wields a blade isn't any of my business. All I'm trying to do is get out of here with my life and my heart intact. I don't want to care about the mysteries I begin uncovering about the king, about why he never shows his face, about his palace that turns into a nightmare after dusk.

Great characters
Elizabeth Hunter is fairly new to me - new enough that I wasn't familiar with Carwyn and Brigid. I didn't even know they had a book before this. Now that I do, I will be gobbling that up. That said, I didn't know about their book until after listening to this one, so I'll just go ahead and say now that I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I just loved this couple, and now that I'm aware, I want to know what got them to this point, what made them a couple.
As for Saint's Passage, I loved the relationship between Carwyn and Brigid. The banter is witty and fun, which is a nice contrast to the seriousness of their current case. And it is a serious one, one that hits Brigid on a personal level. I also liked the elemental premise, and I found their powers fascinating. There are a fair number of characters here, some we only meet a time or two and some who play a more important role, but as I'm learning about Elizabeth Hunter, everyone is well drawn and interesting.
Sean William Doyle gives voice to the characters, and he does it well. I love the accents, and he kept the tone of the story engaging and entertaining. I'm enjoying his narration as much as the story he's drawing me into.
So, I have another reason to check out more of Elizabeth Hunter's work as well as Sean William Doyle's narration, and I'll certainly be seeing what Carwyn and Brigid get up to next.

Great fantasy
Brigid and Carwyn were so perfect for each other. This was full of action, some heat, and comedy. The determination to help the children that were being held captive. Although Sean William Doyle is a new narrator to me, he did a great job with the narration.

A Fascinating Paranormal Mystery! Great Listen🎧
Elizabeth Hunter pens another fascinating and imaginative story with equally fascinating and imaginative paranormal characters, vampires, but not just ordinary vampires, rather they are elemental vampires. The story drew me right in, grabbing my attention and holding it captive the entire time. The world she created is fascinating too, it is new to me and I think those who are familiar with the author’s “Elemental Mysteries” series may have more of an advantage since they are already familiar with the world and the characters. Not that I felt like I was missing anything, but knowing the world, the characters came and more about their paranormal abilities may have added depth and familiarity. The lead characters, Carwyn ap Bryn and Brigid Connor, are Elemental vampires and mates. A girl goes missing while visiting friends in the United States and because of their skills they asked them to help find her. I adored these two characters, they are fabulous together and made a great team trying to find and following all the leads to the missing girl, Lupe Martinez. There is never a dull moment in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story with a perfect balance of drama, some humor via witty dialogue, mystery, action, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some romance. Elizabeth Hunter, thank you for another fantastic story and wild ride.
🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Sean William Doyle is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. He did a great job bringing these characters and their story to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. He set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into his performance and had you feeling every single one. Doyle is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

Saint’s Passage
Saint’s Passage by Elizabeth Hunter
Elemental Covenant series #1. Paranormal mystery. Spin off from other Elemental series. Can be read without starting with the other Elemental series.
Carwyn Bryn and Brigid Connor are elemental and altruistic vampires. Having already lived a long life, they now focus on righting wrongs and helping the lost.
In this first book of the series, Carwyn and Brigid search for a runaway teen and uncover a potential slavery ring. They will shut it down and hopefully not blow anything up.
Amusing characters and dialog.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Sean William Doyle who performs the full Covenant series and the Legacy series. The Irish accents that are used for Carwyn and Brigid are wonderful and the sarcasm and joking between the two is so entertaining. I enjoyed listening to this book while occasionally following along in the ebook.

Loved this story!
Wow... what a great story! I loved the characters, Brigid and Carwyn, and how they were vampires who helped find an undocumented girl who'd gone missing. But on their journey, they meet other wonderful characters who help them out to not only find Lupe but help when the reason she went missing became a much bigger problem. She was trying to save some migrant children who'd been taken and were being held for trafficking. Brigid and Carwyn got to use their amazing powers to help get the kids out, use their connections to help get them home and basically save the day.
Loved this.
The narrator did an amazing job with everyone's voices... even giving the appropriate accents!

Love, love any story with Carwyn! Always guaranteed to make me laugh and smile! A unexpected new adventure and a life decision make for an entertaining addition to the Elemental vampire world. The narrator did a fantastic job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene!

What a let down
This was very disappointing coming from Elizabeth Hunter. It was predictable and just kind of boring.
