Publisher's Summary

What will you do to save your family when the zombie apocalypse starts? Because Mike Fletcher will do anything, and that's his greatest weapon.

From the multi-award-winning author Christopher Artinian comes the second book of the post-apocalyptic zombie series, Safe Haven.

A virus has swept across the planet turning people into flesh-craving zombies. The UK and Ireland were the last to fall, but now the virus has won. Cities are infested with the undead. To stay is to die.

Having fled Leeds, Mike Fletcher and his family thought they had found a safe haven in the island village of Candleton. But their peace was fleeting, and others want what they have. Now, they find themselves in a fresh fight for their lives, battling armies of vicious raiders and fast, relentless zombies.

Horror and tyranny reign in this new world, and a war is looming on the horizon that only the bravest will choose to fight. The time has come to take a stand. The time has come to find a new kind of hero.

Solid follow up

Picking up right where book one ends, Realm of the Raiders continues to follow Mike and his family as they continue their struggle for survival. Just when they think they've finally found a safe and stable place to call home things go from bad to worse as Mike and Co. discover there are more dangers out there than just zombies. As the title indicates, raiders are now roaming the land and it isn't long before they have Mike's safe haven in their crosshairs. Kim Bretton once again provides the narration, doing a great job bringing the character and world to life. I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

2nd of Series

I love post-apocalyptic book and really enjoyed this zombie series (reanimated corpses RAMS). Love the characters of Mike Fletcher, sister Emma, and step siblings of Sammy and Jake, and now Lucy and Jenny (as other new ones) they met in Candleton where they thought was a safe place to stay but needs to move on. There is a lot of zombie action in this one. . Highly recommend if you like zombies. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!

Part 2 was even better than the first!

Mr. Artinian continues to write novels that get better as the series progresses! Just the right mixture of normal human emotions and violence to keep you listening for what’s next. I can’t wait for part 3!

Zombies & Raiders!

The second book in this series has more action and more twists than the first one. Mike and his family had decided to settle in Candleton, when raiders decided to overrun the settlement. Because of this, Mike and his family have to fight on two fronts: the zombies and the raiders, in order to protect themselves. What a fantastic tale. I'm ready to move on to the next book in the series. I recommend this series to others who enjoy a good story. Kim Bretton's narration is awesome and her style adds to the book's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great zombie series!

Ok I LOVE that the MC recognizes that you must save the well educated librarians as they are needed to help rebuild society! This has been a great series so far. A kick ass MC. Hordes of undead, nasty humans that you love to hate, twists, awesome battles, edge of the seat moments of life and death. And all taking place in the UK and Scotland. Nice to see zombies that aren’t all here in the states. Get it and enjoy but get the ones before it first. don't mess with my family

Mike continues to try to get his family, new and birth, to Gran's.. As in anyone's life it isn't easy but not even the RAMS will deter him. Oh and heaven help the humans who try to harm his loved ones. This wonderfully written story reminds us that we never really know what we are capable of until pushed too far. I loved the little glimmer of crossover of the End of Everything world as well. Also as should he expected in the z9mbie/RAMS world never get too comfortable....trouble is probably around the next corner. I received a free audiobook copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Good Continuation of the series.

Safe Haven Realm of the Raiders Book 2 is a good continuation to this Zombie apocalypse series. Mike and crew are back again(this time with a different narrator, Kim Bretton, who does a great job). There is a ton more action, conflict and death in this book. Mike is still a badass, Men want to be him and woman want to be with him, There are some great new characters and villains and some characters that you aren't sure which is which.

The world is a dangerous one and not just because of the Zombies, one of the biggest dangers is the other Humans and now they even have to worry about rats! The story does a good job of never really letting your or the characters feel completely safe or secure and always with their head on a swivel, especially in Mike's case.

As I said there is a new narrator for this book in Kim Bretton and overall I think she did an excellent job. I would of probably given her 5 stars but I was not a fan of the voice that she used for Lucy, other than that I think she was spot on with the Male and female characters.

If you enjoyed the first book in the series I would definitely recommend this one as it is more of the same(in a good way) and has quite a few twists thrown in. I am excited to read the next book in the series.

Awesome!

Realm of the Raiders, the second book in the Safe Haven series, is cleverly written, entertaining, and gripping. It met my highest expectations. I knew it would be fantastic within the first few minutes, and I wasn't wrong. It's a fast-paste zombie (rams) apocalypse action-adventure with loads of intensity and excitement. The characters are authentic and interesting, especially Mike; he is absolutely awesome. The storyline and dialogue are a smooth flow; while capturing and holding the attention of the readers/listeners from the very start to the end.

A stellar performance by Kim Bretton's; she adds personality and heart to the Artinian's words, breathing life into the characters and story. Bretton and Artinian make a fantastic author/narrator team. I'm definitely looking forward to more of the two.

Wow!

How does Mike keep coming up with these ideas?! What will he come up with next to keep his friends and family safe? And will Emma ever get that stick out of her a%£s? I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was next, and desperate to start the next book to keep the story going! I need more!

another great instalment

the second book in the series starts where the first left on and carries on the story of the family and friends and their battle against the rams and other humans. the story is action packed and goes at a good pace.
There was one point where I jumped up and shouted 'oh no' which earned me a funny look from my family. I won't give that story plot away but my heart was racing.
the narration was superb much better than the first book, although I did at first wonder what a 'huddle' was that they kept picking up, only kidding, its just the way the narrator pronounces holdall!
Great series can't wait for the next one.

Fast paced, great foundation and build up

I was recommended this series after I’d read all it the end of everything to date. After listening to the epilogue at the end makes me glad I’ve already downloaded the next book.
Now, to start. I have to say I was not expecting that.
Also, I’m not one to give away spoilers in reviews. I hate reading a booking and the reviewer tells you everything so that reading the book isn’t necessary.
So on that note, if you’re in the fence about this series get down and start with book one okay. Because book 2 is a whirlwind without you feeling like you’re behind somehow.
The author Christopher Artinian knows how to weave a tale, how to develop characters and how to pull out surprises.
Basically listen to this series - or read (I’ve also got all the ebooks to date) - it’s totally worth it and you won’t regret it!
