That’s the line that helped Jeff Melvoin break into TV writing after a journalism career. Not only is this book packed with insider info on what it’s like to move up the ranks from a staff writer to a show runner, it’s also incredibly entertaining. I binged it in a weekend. Jeff Melvoin gets into the nitty-gritty of the business sharing practical info like whether or not you need an agent, as well as his personal experiences dealing with difficult producers and executives.
