so you want to be a runner ... or a better runner
I’m a toddler runner (it’s been less than 18 months since I started running consistently) and how I WISH this book would have been around when I started. I actually found Amanda through her blog- it came up every time I googled a running question. I started following her on social media and love her genuine passion for running and helping others. So, I won’t lie- I bought the book solely to support her since she’s unknowingly given me so much free advice - ha! But the book is truly as awesome as she is. It’s a light read, her humor and wit shines through but it also touches on serious topics like negative self talk & the comparison game. This book was written for people like me, the everyday runner. I felt encouraged, motivated & inspired to change the way I think about running, my “performance” and honestly, a lot of what she writes applies to other areas of life. I just finished listening to it on Audible & I can’t wait to go back and take my highlighter to the pages & read it again!

Meh
I appreciate that this is geared toward people that don't necessarily consider themselves "real runners". I expected a little more out of it, honestly. While the exercises might be helpful in the hard copy, it felt like they were pulled from a blog to add weight in the audio version. I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of it. If you've been running for an extended period of time, this may not be that beneficial.

I love this audiobook so much, that I am listening to it again and buying the hard copy. if you haven't listened yet, you really should. It's an easy listen, funny, and full of very helpful running tips.
