A Childhood Favorite

I'm well into the young adult years but I still find that I return to this book and the whole series once every couple of years. It never fails to bring me joy.

Rowan's Band

After reading Springer's series on Sherlock Holmes' sister Enola Holmes, I saw that most of her series on Robin Hood's daughter is available to listen to for free from Audible and dove in.

They are on the shorter side of things but it was a lovely to listen to Rosemary take on the mantel of Rowan, after the loss of her mother Celandine and her home - a not-lad with a wolf like dog called that fetches arrows out of the air she calls Tykell, crossing paths on the road with a large boy with a voice of a angel named Lionel and rescuing a princess turned friend in Ettarde and a Wild Boy, Rook.

Rowen has to choose what to tell, or not tell Robin Hood about her mother, and make up her mind on if to join her band with his or keep to the grove she's found a home in.

Great prose.

Such a great author and story teller. Adding this series to my must reads. An enduring and empowering book for girls.

A fantastic listen into a bold new tale

This book is wonderful! You get pulled right into the story and love everyone you meet, along side Rowan.

Very gentle & meaningful

A great little story about courage, adventure & being true to self. The narrator is excellent & the story is embracing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sweet Little Story

Cute story, listened to it again as an adult through Audible. Throughly enjoyed it though it was a bit slower than 10 year old me remembered!

Great concept for a series

What a brilliant idea to create this YA series about the daughter of Robin Hood. It is more for preteens and teens given descriptions of some acts of violence and the real representation of essentially living unhoused and the many difficulties these circumstances present. The author is great as well as the narrator.
