A Highly Addictive Story with Phenomenal Narration!!!

OMG!! Best Book EVER!!!
I could not stop listening once I started!
Christian Rummel is AMAZING as Vicious!!
He had such a deep alpha way with his voice that comes off just the way I'd imagine Vicious sounding. There's so much depth and emotion in his voice and he totally owned the part.
I could listen to him all day every day and never tire of his storytelling.
Vicious is ruthless and detached but has such a huge heart hiding underneath. I felt for him on so many levels and sympathized with his pain. A broken boy who carries his pain with him all his life. Now a lost man just searching for his happiness and revenge.

Savannah Peachwood was also the perfect narrator for Amelia. She has that sweet innocent southern drawl. I loved everything about her character.

The story line was so catchy and unique. The characters were both strong and lovable.
Amelia aka Help, stood her ground with Vicious and I LOVED the back and forth play for power between the two.

LJ Shen is such a talented author and her books always leave me in such a hangover.
Her writing is flawless and fierce. Her way with words, sensational. I become so engrossed in her characters and their story, never wanting to come up for air, yearning and needing more!!!


This book will definitely stay with me!!
So glad I was able to listen to this on audio!
Top read of 2017 and quite possibly my top read ever!! That's how phenomenal this book is!!! A MUST READ!!!!!

Vicious is a character you LOVE TO HATE

Would you consider the audio edition of Vicious to be better than the print version?

I believe the audio version lived up to the high standards set by the Print version

I love that the main male character was redeemable. There were moments throughout that I didn't think it possible

My favorite scene, When Vicious is waiting for Emilia in her room. He was such a jerk

I had hate for the main male character, heartbreak for Emilia, and then satisfaction at the end

I loved the caracters, vicious was so bad that it gets funny at times!! live it and couldn't stop listening!! totally worth it!

Love vs. Hate wrapped in barbed wire

Vicious isn't a typical rich man finds/saves/devours poor young woman. The story makes him disproportionally bad. Rude, crude, angry (insert your most negative adjective here), Vic is a man with a mission. Moving toward his goal of redemption, he has no problem creating a path of destruction. Swirling in his sphere is "Help". The story becomes the craziest boy meets girl, crushes girl, finds girl, etc., etc., etc. Love vs. Hate wrapped in barbed wire.
Narration - excellent, I think. She (Savannah) uses a rather breathy, small, quiet voice in the narration, until she is the spoken character, then she moves to a stronger female voice. She does a decent male and other side characters are different in tone and distinguishable. Christian Rummel has a smoky, deep voice, strong voice that, at once, puts you in a train car with the sultry man of your dreams. You hope for a long, interrupted ride - just so you can hear him read War and Peace or the phone book - - anything, just don't stop talking...
I liked it, it captured my attention and I was glad I had an uninterrupted time to listen. I'll listen to book 2.
Social conscience? Ok, this is not the kind of relationship you or I would stay in. You don't want your sister or daughter or best friend to be wrapped in a guy like this....but, no physical abuse, no rape, just (?) lack of respect x 100.
