Publisher's Summary

Lion-shifter Dell O'Roarke has never been serious about life, but life is about to get serious with him. The beautiful stranger who has just arrived in Maui isn't looking for just anyone - she's looking for him. And that's not just any surprise she's brought along - it's a baby who looks a hell of a lot like Dell. Soon, he discovers there's more at stake than his lifestyle as a swinging bachelor.

Vengeful shifters are hot on the stranger's heels, making Dell wonder - are they after the woman, the baby, or him?

Marketing executive manager Anjali Jain hasn't taken a vacation in years - and she sure isn't on vacation now. She's simply keeping a promise, and then she'll be back to climbing the corporate ladder. But there's nothing simple about taking care of a baby - or handing that baby off to a handsome, mysterious stranger who feels like a long-lost friend.

Easygoing, relaxed Dell isn't her type, but the more he reluctantly reveals of his hidden side, the deeper she falls in love - and the more mysteries she discovers. CUPIDS PEARLS.

Absolutely love this series. Wonderful to see Dell'S true nature shine and love come into his life, that good triumphed over Moira's mercenaries and more people added to this like minded village of shifters

Another great audio book in this series

I just Anna's narrator. She makes the books so enjoyable. This book is about Dell, one of the shifters of KoaKea. We learn that Dell had a brother who was part of the Special Forces group of shifters. Quentin was killed by an IED and Dell will never get over losing his brother. He considers Quentin the "good" O'Roarke brother. The serious, honorable brother who tried to teach him to be the same.

Dell and Chase are returning from work on a Sunday evening, when Dell has a feeling that things are about to change for him. A taxi passes them on the dirt road to the plantation, the road that no one travels except the shifters. Who could it have dropped off? The beautiful woman standing on the porch has his lion dancing inside him. When he sees the baby that is his spitting image he is stunned. He has no memory of the woman, and he is always very careful about contraception.

It turns out that the baby is Quentin's daughter, and the woman is the mother's best friend. Anjali explains that Lourdes, the baby mama, has died. It took a lot of phone calls and some pulls on heart strings to get Dell's information out of the military database. Now Dell has some real problems. What is he going to do with a baby, and how is he going to convince his lion to let Anjali go?

I loved this story. Anjali is great female character, and baby Quinn is a real show stopper. I like the way Dell is so determined to do right by his brother, whatever that entails. You will love this book.
I was given an audio copy of the book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Roaring good

Lion shifter Del is carefree and playful until a strange woman comes along with his deceased brothers baby. Del's lion is roaring for the woman as his mate and all of his shifter friends think he should find the baby a new home. Del will need to prove to everyone that he can be a father and settle down even with enemies encroaching in them.

Del and Anjali

These two are my favorite couple in this yummy spin-off. I love how they connected right from the start. It was nice to see how their relationship allowed Del develop and mature. He went from playboy to devoted dad and mate. Anjali was as spunky as they come. I loved how her outlook changed and developed as well.

Something I truly enjoyed was how Del considered little Joey’s feelings after Quinn arrived. He didn’t stop being Joey’s buddy or make him feel left behind/out. He included Quinn in their interactions so Joey felt almost like a big brother to her. Cynthia’s interactions with Del were quite revealing throughout the story.

Still, I have to say that I was a bit ticked at Cynthia and Connor for a while. I could sort of understand Cynthia’s point of view since she hadn’t known Del that long, but at the same time I thought it was a bit hypocritical of her. AND…Connor allowing her to change his mind about Del was just WRONG. I was fully in Del’s corner after that.

We got a brief glimpse of Cruz and Jodi in this book, but that was all from the original gang. I enjoyed the timing of their cameo. I thought it was very fitting.

I'm looking forward to Chase and Sophie's story.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook. I also purchased the Kindle version.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

Whilst the narration is descriptive, well-paced and good and I thoroughly enjoyed listening, every now and then it seemed to not have the impact of reading the book and at other times, some scenes came across as more powerful listening. Listening really does give you a different vision in ones head, as sometimes I thought, I don’t remember that. BOOK REVIEW Dell comes through, with Anjali's help of course and shows the others a more responsible side. Lovely story with a great plot and likeable characters and Destiny doing its thing, gifting another Pearl of Desire to Anjali in a very unique way. Anjali has been on the rat race, 80 hour gig week for years. Helping an old friend out ends up turning Anjali’s whole life around. When her friend ends up dead, leaving her baby alone with Anjali, Anjali does the only thing she can think of, tracking down Quinn’s uncle, Dell. Anjali starts off as a workaholic but soon learns how to relax and get into island time. Loved how calm she was and the two of then doing yoga was very good. Dell finally gets the reason his life has needed to become the man he should have always been, if not overshadowed by his older brother. I love that Ms Lowe has kept him with his man-child behaviour though as I loved his actions playing around with Joey. Not that he needs them as he has his true family around him but I wonder if he will ever reconnect with his birth family. Especially to introduce Quinn to them. Moira makes an appearance once again and really stirs up some trouble. Whilst I can understand the others opinions, I am annoyed at them for their doubts in believing Dell was unfit to raise Quinn. Glad he proved them all wrong. With Anjali’s help of course. I was kindly given this book by the author but I read it thorough KU. This is my honest review of this book.

Del Meets his Mate
WITH EVERY SINGLE ONE of these books I say '"THIS IS THE BEST YET" only to have Anna write the next in the series and I want to say it again! I really loved Dell's story. I loved how he felt an instant connection to his niece Quinn, the way he is torn when everyone is telling him has to give her up because he won't be able to cope. Well, things might appear like that at the start but by the end of the story, nobody is saying that.

I have always had a soft spot for Del when I have been listening to the previous books in this series, he was always so determined to be his own person/lion whilst going out of his way being a good male influence on Joey, even when that entailed acting like a child himself. Every boy needs a playmate and I love the way he tries to get a rise out of Cynthia, Joey's mum, and the co-alpha.

The chemistry between Anjali Jain and Wendell O'Roarke, better know to us as Dell, is palpable, from the moment Dell comes home to find Anjali holding Quinn and looks into his own eyes there is a shift in the Dell we have all come to know and love. Fun and Frolicks are replaced by Love and Duty but it wasn't only duty Dell felt it was love and Destiny, his destiny because life's like that - it happens while we are busy making plans.

Anjali, a self-confessed workaholic has brought her friend's baby, Quinn, to her only remaining relative after Lourdes, her childhood friend and Quinn's mother supposedly committed suicide, her plan was to drop off the baby and return to work - what is that saying about the best-laid plans?

In order to help Quinn settle and to give Del time to adjust she agrees to stay for a few days to smooth over the transition, but is she only staying for Quinn - what about her gorgeous uncle?

When the chips are down and Quinn's life is threatened she finds an inner core of strength she didn't know she had. Her growing love for Quinn and Dell mean she will have to make choices - will she make the right one for all concerned? How will she react when she finds out about Shifters? Can she give up what she has strived so hard to achieve?

There is a lot of action in this story, there is the return of Moira who has played such an important part in the lives of all the shifters at Koakea Plantation and Koa Point - a more evil person/shifter you could not meet! I hope Anna has a great end in store for her! There is also Love, Duty, Destiny, Sizzling Chemistry and as with all of these books an HEA.

I admit that I read this book when it was first released and I enjoyed it immensely, but the narration by the incredibly talented Kelsy Osborne takes this story to a whole new level bringing out parts of the story my reading of it missed.

I can't recommend this book or this series highly enough. Buy it! I was lucky enough to be given a copy of this audiobook as a gift and I am voluntarily writing this review.

Great series! Love a lion shifter!

The narrator is good, and she has a clear voice. There is a bit too much excitement in her voice at times, but overall, I'd recommend the audio for Rebel Lion, the listening experience was fun.

The premise for this one didn't click with me, so I almost did a 3 star, but everything else was great, so I went with 4 stars. The writing and the characters are both great! The premise isn't a bad one, it's just something that's not my thing, so I'm sure other readers will be fine with the scenario between Dell and Anjali. This is part of a series, but could be read as a standalone. I'd recommend reading the whole series to get the full story that plays out through the series. Dell and Anjali meet when Anjali brings a baby to Dell in Hawaii that he has a connection with. Dell is a lion shifter and has led a carefree life so far, so he's not sure he's up to the task of dealing with a baby. There's something about Anjali and the baby that draws him in though. Dell and Anjali work together to care for the baby, but there are dangerous people that may be out to harm Anjali and the baby, so Dell needs to find a way to protect them. I loved seeing how the group is doing, and I always enjoy the dash of action that Anna Lowe puts into her books. The romance is sweet, and I liked both Anjali and Dell. Dell is the carefree one, and Anjali is the workaholic type, but these 2 complement each other and make the other better. Overall, I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next!

Dell O'Roarke is a lion shifter and part of the shifter crew of Koakea plantation. He is never serious about anything.

Anjali Jain is an ad executive. Who hasn't taken a vacation in years. Right now she is keeping a promise to her dead friend and take her baby to a mysterious stranger or take care of her. Oh yes and did I mention evil forces are behind her friend's death? There is also an old enemy back too as one more pearl picks someone worthy.
