ENTERTAINING & ORIGINAL

I wasn't sure what to expect, but once I started listening to this book I didn't want to stop. It's a scary thought to know that someone is poking around in your mind and can maybe kill you. This book has great characters and an original plot. There's great chemistry between David and Grace, but the sexy times are not detailed. This doesn't take away from this being an awesome story. Can't wait for the next book. The Amanda Uhl did a good job with narration as well.

Loved the characters chemistry!

I have been dabbling in Romance novel quite a lot recently to a point where they kind of all blends in together. Mind Wave was a breeze of fresh air into the often repetitive supernatural genre. It was great to know all along that David could read her mind and she had no idea! It was funny at some points.

I was afraid the book was going toward the chosen one trope that I am glad it did not go there.

If you want sex this book might not be for you. It's quite tame yet it doesn't suffer one bit. I would actually recommend you give it a try for something more about relationship and trust.

It pulls you in

This was a fascinating and intense book. The mind is an amazing thing and to listen to or read about someone coming in, searching around in it and messing with your thoughts and memories is scary. One man wanting to control not only her mind but all of her and another man risking everything to save her. I enjoyed it! Loved this suspenseful paranormal romance!

This is a unique story different than anything I’ve read. The story sucked me in from the beginning all the way to the conclusion. I was not sure what to expect because I’m not familiar with this author but it definitely surpassed my expectations!

Narration was fairly good and brought the story to life.

The plot was excellent and the story progressed at a great pace! There is a good amount of suspense to keep you on your toes. Overall a great listen with just the right touch of romance to keep me happy.

This is a fairly clean suspenseful paranormal romance. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this talented writer.

Fast-paced and engaging

If you could sum up Mind Waves in three words, what would they be?

Paranormal mixes mystery with romance.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mind Waves?

Grace’s mental anguish as she fights to keep control of her mind from the hackers.

Which scene was your favorite?

David’s attempt to rescue Grace.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It kept me on the edge of my seat.

Any additional comments?

With paranormal not being my usual genre of choice I was skeptical of its ability to engage me. Wow, was I wrong. Mystery, romance and paranormal weave together to create a suspenseful, fast-paced read. The characters draw you into their world and keep you engaged until the end of the story. I will definitely want to read more in the series.

I love this book!!!!

This is the first book that I have read/listened to by this author, so I did not know what to expect.

The thing that attracted me to Mind Waves is the description, it sounded interesting and I thought I have to give it a go. I am so glad I did because I loved it!

This is a paranormal romance with no sex scenes (this happens behind closed doors), just kissing, some violence but not graphic and sporadic profanity. I thought the author did this really well which I was not expecting. Usually this is what you would find a lot of in this type of genre. The author does not just concentrate on the romance but on the plot as well so there is a balance between them. I love the mind reading. It was confusing to begin with but as the book progresses I understood it more.

The author also surprised me with part of the ending because I did not see it coming, which shows that the author is really good with playing with words/misconception.

I would highly recommend this book! I would definitely be checking out the authors other books.

When I found out that the author was narrating the Mind Waves I thought that might be a bad thing, but the author surprised me. She is really good at voicing the characters, however, I heard swallowing throughout the book. If it was not for this I think she would be a great narrator.

Entertaining read from start to finish

I thoroughly enjoyed this paranormal romance. I'd classify it as "sweet" on the hotness scale.

The storyline was unique, and the heroine' s issues with trust were really put to the test by the hero. After all, it would take a mountain of trust to stay with someone who could alter your memories!

Ms. Uhl did a great job keeping me on the edge of my seat with this story. I hope she'll write more in this world, because I'll definitely read them if she does.

I was hesitant to read a book narrated by the author, but she did a very good job. The sound quality was good. There were a few mouth noises early in the book (swallowing, dry mouth), but either they disappeared over time, or I just stopped noticing them.

Long and Twisted

This was a long and convoluted tale of people who are able to enter other people's minds. Then good guys are government operatives. The bad guys have killed to gain wealth. Grace is caught between the two and falls for David who has a secret. The story twist around these two you think they are not treating you as an adult. Then after you do it you realize they were trying to protect you.and the other operatives as well as Grace's relationship with her baby sister. The story dragged at first but really picked up. There were times when I wanted to do the NCIS head slap on both of them but things turned out ok in the end. When someone tells you not to do something and you do it anyway because you think they are not treating you as an adult. Then you realize after you have put everyone in danger that they were trying to protect you. That to me is the classic definition of stupid. It boggles my mind how someone so smart can act so dumb.I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review.

Interesting paranormal romance

This is an unusual and interesting paranormal romance. Amanda Uhl has explored the mysteries of the mind to create this story. The result is a very interesting start to a series.

David is a mind hacker. He is part of a special unit of the FBI that uses their abilities to extract secrets and so on from the minds of suspects, etc. David has attracted the interest of a rogue mind hacker. And civilian Grace has attracted David's attention. Needless to say, the rogue hacker has an interest in Grace too.

Grace is a recently divorced artist who is on the brink of loosing everything. She needs a job and she needs it yesterday. She has an interview that has the potential to pull her back from the edge but David appears to block her. She does not get that commission but David redeems himself by giving her another project working for him.

Their chemistry is pretty potent but I like the fact that Grace has her issues, concerns and insecurities. It makes her real. As their relationship develops, so does the rogue hacker's efforts.

Not all wars happen in a battle field. Sometimes they happen in the recesses of the mind.

I am looking forward in this series. It has a lot of potential!
