great

The narrator, which I believe is as important as the story, is excellent. The story has a great plot line and strong characters.

Very good

I was a little worried at first because it seemed like instalove, which I hate, and I almost stopped reading but I am so glad that I didn't. The instalove makes sense and, believe me, they still have issues to work out so it's not 100% perfect lovey dovey all the time.

It had potential

I want to begin this with an analogy. If writing books was like being a sculpture, using fine tool to chisel details, as a sculpture this author used a club to try and beat the marble into something she wanted.

The main problem with this book is the lack of detail, it feels like a 12 year old wrote it. Very general details are given without any of the minor details that you need to bring the book to life.

Another problem is the lack of character development. I found my self laughing, rolling my eyes, or just down right horrified at how hollow and uninteresting everything was. Not only does the author fail to flesh out the main charcter, she just makes her an automatic badass leaving me feeling disconnected. The detail in the fighting, traveling, and overall interaction between characters is so short that if you don't pay attention for a few seconds your completely lost.

The way some of the characters feel and express themselves sounds absolutely reddiculous, not to mention that Kia, or whatever his name was, was scared for the first time several times. This book almost feels like the author went in without a plan and contradicts herself so many times.

The story progression is horrifying things that, in any other well written book, were nearly shrugged off because it was delivered so poorly. I stopped and started this book at least 10 times before finally giving up.

Really really bad

This was really really bad. totally unbelievable - yes i get the whole genre is unbelievable being about werewolves and all but she gets turned and totally accepts everything never questions anything and so many other annoying things. I only managed to make it in until just after she discovers she is a matefinder as well... and believe me that was hard work getting that far... and it wasnt even that far in :-/ everything happened way to fast. waste of money dont bother with it.

Simply Amazing !!!!

This book is by far one of the best I have ever read. It has Action/Romance/Werewolf's/Witches/ Vampires and a amazing plot. The characters are so well described that you feel their pain, joy and all their emotions. The narrator did a good job but she didn't get the male voices right. A dual narrative would have made it perfect . I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next.

good versus evil

A good story, Werewolves, Vampires, white Witches, Black Witches, oh yes and a secret governmental agency.
Yep this one sucks you in.
Let's not forget the very good narration that ties this tale together. Thank you Dara Rosenberg.

bello!

Predictable

What disappointed you about Matefinder: Volume 1?

Boring. Compared to the books that it is being actually compared to, I expected more.
Story line is completely predictable. Disappointing writing, too.

Has Matefinder: Volume 1 put you off other books in this genre?

No

Performance was fine

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
