Publisher's Summary

I own you. I have the piece of paper to prove it. It's undeniable and unbreakable. You belong to me until you've paid off your debts.

Nila Weaver's family is indebted. Being the first born daughter, her life is forfeit to the first born son of the Hawks to pay for sins of ancestors' past. The dark ages might have come and gone, but debts never leave. She has no choice in the matter.

She is no longer free.

Jethro Hawk receives Nila as an inheritance present on his 29th birthday. Her life is his until she's paid off a debt that's centuries old. He can do what he likes with her - nothing is out of bounds - she has to obey.

There are no rules. Only payments.

Amazing!!!

Let me start by saying that the Indebted Series is one of my favorites and I have visuals for Nila and Jethro and wasn't sure what I would think about this book on audio. Well Will Watt and Kylie Stewart are amazing! Immediately I was captivated by Jethro and enthralled by Nila and as they spoke I needed more just like when I was reading it. They both grasped Pepper's words and you became lost in the world of the Hawks & the Weavers and the Debt Inheritance begins. I highly recommend.

Wow Just Wow

Incredible. What a delightful surprise the narration and story were just wow. The dual narration that I enjoy listening to. Will and Kylie are my favorite to listen to they brought the story to life. The story was not what I expected but better. If you do not listen to this book you are missing out. Story and narration you will not be disappointed. Wish all books were read and as good as this one. Would love to hear more from these two narrators but only if the books are read in this manner.

So up and down.

The actual story line is ridiculous, and the heroine is pathetic. It did however keep my interest. Just trying to figure out why. Not sure if I'll cave and get the second.

Simply Brilliant!!!!!!

If you could sum up Debt Inheritance in three words, what would they be?

intriguing, addictive and exciting

What was one of the most memorable moments of Debt Inheritance?

To me the entire book is pretty memorable. I don't want to give anything away. HAHA

What about Will M. Watt and Kylie C. Stewart ’s performance did you like?

Kylie's voice is exactly how I thought Nila's would sound. Will's voice shows such emotion. You can feel every emotion Jethro feels.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but due to time I had to do it over a couple of days

Any additional comments?

I would HIGHLY recommend this audio book to even those who have already read the series. I feel like the audio has really enhanced my whole Indebted Series experience!

Just terrible- nothing to like at all

Juvenile, unbelievable and silly. Nothing to recommend this utterly dumb story. So sorry to have wasted a credit. Will be returning this nonsense.

Debt and whining

I truly believe this book was going to be juicy. Filled with naughty delight, instead it was a book about a whining girl, an ass of a man.

THANK U PEPPER WINTERS! absolutely fantastic

Both narrators were phenomenal . I DO NOT give praise lightly, in fact I can only recall even leaving a review one other time. This book will capture u so well you will find yourself going from gasping out loud to holding your breath. As crazy as the situation they are in, the writing and narrative somehow make it all completely believeable. I have a lot more praise to give but i honestly can not wait any longer to listen to the second book in the series. Do yourself a favor and get this one!!!

A slow starter, but well worth continuing

I've read a lot of mixed reviews about this series, and after devouring Monsters in the Dark, I wanted to get lost in more of Pepper's addictive writing.

Jethro is a complicated character... and I'll admit, he's a character I've struggled to like in this book. I've also struggled a little with the basis of the story - I've questioned a lot of things while reading this book and have been left sometimes feeling like maybe... it's going too far. At these times I remind myself - it's fiction. It wouldn't actually happen, but it makes for an interesting storyline, and let's be honest, there are stories out there that are more unbelievable.

I read one review that hated the ending... personally, I loved it, and it was partly the reason I downloaded the rest when I finished this.

This series won't be to everyone's taste, and if you've read Pepper before, you'll already know she loves to write taboo.

Will does an amazing job at portraying Jethro, I could listen to him all day long. He just has a way of making you completely believe the story.

Go in with an open mind, remember it's fiction, and you'll enjoy it.

Good but!!!!

The story was good but very long winded, it took a very long time and didn’t tell much. The narrators were irritating with their fake English accents, would have been much better to actually have English people narrating.

Oh man I hate these !

You know those books riding the borders of scoff worthy and terrible so hard. But then they make a second one which you have to listen to because even though you know better, a small part of you inside that still believes in impossible things, is holding onto the hope that the next book will make it all make sense somehow ?.
First up if your into protagonists with any redeemable qualities AT ALL, this is not your bag girlfriend. Secondly, if that wasn't enough of a turn off for you, the male narrator deadset sounds like a David Walliams Little Britain character trying to talk husky which is about as sexy as listening to your grandad narrate for you.
So those are the pitfalls before we've even touched on the ludicrous storyline. And sometimes a ludicrous storyline just works. But this reads like some posh horsey socialites wet dream. And I think we can all attest that sometimes our fantasies don't always make sense and it doesn't lessen the sensuality for yourself but may leave anyone else wondering "Jesus what goes on in her head".
The female narrators accent is strange and all over the place which constantly pulls your focus from what you are reading and the whole thing is more long winded than the father of a bride speech at a wedding.
I guess my point is I will be filing part 2 under 'incredibly, irreparably bored and using a free credit'. I would encourage the same for others.
