Publisher's Summary

Steve Johnson is living his life's passion watching over the Colorado Mountains as a ranger and wildlife consultant. But his peaceful life is upended when overzealous and insanely beautiful Shannon Braden flits back into his life after returning from a brief trip home to Maryland. He thought his attraction to her was under control - after all, she's only in Colorado temporarily, and he doesn't do casual affairs.

Shannon's return to Colorado has as much to do with the game of cat and mouse she and Steve have been playing as it does the data she's been hired to collect. But despite her efforts to explore the undeniable heat simmering between them, Steve's intent on keeping his distance.

When a ranch abutting the national park goes up for sale, Steve will do whatever it takes to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. And when all his attempts fail, he's left with no alternative but to follow Shannon's guidance into the online world he abhors in order to raise the funds. The more time they spend together, the deeper their attraction becomes, and a game of cat and mouse turns into an unstoppable connection. But when Shannon's assignment comes to an end, will it mean an end to them, too?

    "Glood book!"

This was a good book that I enjoyed from the start. The characters, Steve and Shannon were well written and developed characters. When the pair were put together they made a great couple with great chemistry. I enjoyed that they were determined for their cause and worked well together as well as that they were family oriented. I enjoyed the return of some of the characters from the previous Love in Bloom books as well even if briefly so that I as a reader could catch up with those couples. The narration of this book by Mr. Harrison was smooth and enjoyable. He did well portraying the characters as well as differentiating between the different characters as well. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and would recommend it to others.

    "Super Hot!!"

I am always so excited to get a new Melissa Foster book. I love each one of her books. Every book has a wonderfully sexy couple. Crushing on Love is about mountain man Steve and Shannon. This book just makes you feel like you are right there in it.. Melissa Foster never let's me down. Her books just get better and better. All of her books can be read as a stand alone but trust me when you read one you can't stop. BJ Harrison did another amazing job with the narration.

"Mountain Romance is in the air"
If you could sum up Crushing on Love in three words, what would they be?

    Rugged, Steamy and Irresistible

Who was your favorite character and why?

Steve Johnson...I love the way he is Alpha and concerned and caring and the way he loves, all or nothing

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has a heartfelt way of portraying the main character and brings a new sense of Alpha to the characters personality

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I swooned with love for these two, my stomach fluttered with how Steve yearned for Shannon.

    Any additional comments?

This was a great addition to the Braden stories, from Cape loving to Colorado Mountain loving, this is completely my type of romance. I envision a huge burly lumber jack type man and just fall helplessly for this man. BJ Harrison makes you fall hard and quick for his hunky character, can't wait for more more more.

"Easy to get lost in BJ Harrison's voice"

I have not read a book of Melissa Foster's that I haven't enjoyed, this book included. Her contemporary romances are always so fresh and inviting and the characters and plots just draw you in. Steve and Shannon are no exception. Steve is drawn to Shannon but yet a little afraid to follow his heart, he's an old fashion simple man wanting to remain on his mountain. Shannon is vibrant and social, but doesn't know what she wants to do with her life. She had the same attraction towards Steve. I love seeing how their relationship grows and their feelings for each other.
I have enjoyed listening to B. J. Harrison narrate, his smooth voice draws you further in to the story.

    "You gotta love the mountains!"
What made the experience of listening to Crushing on Love the most enjoyable?

I love the voice. He puts so much emotion in to each person.

What other book might you compare Crushing on Love to and why?

Read write and love. They both felt the flame, and fought it at first. Leanne was struggling with what she wanted to do in her life.

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?

I think steves voice was my favorite. He had more ups and downs with his feelings trying to fight them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did! Was to good to stop. Except to eat.

    Any additional comments?

    Melissa foster rocks!

    "Steve and Shannon :)"

I read this book a while back, and I really enjoyed it. Then I listened to the audible, and fell in love all over again. B.J. Harrison, the narrator, brings this story to life. His ability to do a variety of voices well, and his ability to put passion into the characters, really brought life to the story. Grab it, listen, and enjoy the story of Steve and Shannon. You won't be disappointed!

    my original review:
Steve lives on the mountain. Ex-military, he is comfortable being alone. He takes care of things, keeping up with everything from who’s on the mountain and where, to what animals have dens where. He loves the mountain. And the solitude.

Then comes Shannon, who talks all the time and needs to be around people. She’s on the mountain to work, researching foxes. Steve and Shannon are acquainted, since Steve’s sister is married to one of Shannon’s cousins. Families aside, Steve and Shannon have hurdles to cross before they can find their happily ever after. Steve has his personal demons, but he’s such a good guy that not many people know his story. Shannon is so tied to her family back east that there is a built in time limit to any relationship she might want in Colorado.

Together, Steve and Shannon have a goal of saving some acreage near Weston. Their goal is to make it part of a conservation area, instead of being turned into subdivisions. Steve goes about raising money the old way, while Shannon is on top of social media and some of the newer methods that have proven successful. Will they work together or tear each other apart?

Read this book. Enjoy this book. When you’re done, you’ll know and love Grizz and the Butterfly, and I bet you’ll never look at pink icing the same again!

"Foster has gone to a new level of sexy!"

My first impression with Melissa Foster books is sweet. I think B.J. Harrison's voice has a lot to do with that. Then the sexy show up! This book isn't one you're going to want to share with your daughter OR with your mother. Just keep this one to yourself.
That said, I loved the mountain location of this book. I also loved that both Shannon and Steve were into the animals and preservation. I loved that there were so many places in nature that they found for their sexy time. Not sure I'd actually want to try all of them, but for fictional characters, why not?
Shannon and Steve were just so good together! Shannon was still trying to find her place in life and figure out exactly what she wanted to do for work for the rest of her life. Steve was willing to try to help her by offering up suggestions, even if those suggestions were sure to take her out of his life again (as was her current job).
It was refreshing that Steve really wasn't into technology and many of the other things that come with modern day life. Foster's having Shannon embrace that was delightful. Her almost smoking herself to death while trying to start a fire to fix Steve's dinner over an open fire was very touching. His response to thinking she'd set herself on fire was great--no greater moment to realize how much someone means to you than that in which you think you've lost them. It made him face the facts. Now what's he going to do about it?
Very, very enjoyable book. I highly recommend--unless you're the straight up missionary sex type of person.

    "Sexiest Mountain Man Around"
Would you listen to Crushing on Love again? Why?

Yes! I don't know if a sexier mountain man exists then Steve or as Shannon calls him, Grizz! Shannon, Butterfly to Steve, is a researcher who takes a position researching wolves in Colorado near her uncle and Steve, the mountain man that she wants to be more. Steve is a man that not only lives on the mountain, it is who he is but is he willing to change for the city girl that may have stolen his heart? In Crushing for Love read how Shannon and Steve navigate their different lives and find one that might just involve each other. Steve is the ultimate mountain man - he saves wild Hawks, creates detailed maps for Shannon and learns a little about the art of romance and compromise for his Shannon. Shannon is a people person with a love of Pop Tarts and pink boot laces. Together they don't appear to work but in Crushing for Love find out how love crushes all of those obstacles and lands a mountain man chilling on the beaches of Maryland and Butterfly living on a mountain in Colorado. You won't be disappointed by this next entry by Melissa Foster.

Have you listened to any of B.J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The reading of the audiobook is fantastic, B.J. Harrison was made to be the voice of Grizz! As with most audiobooks it took me about a chapter to be able to accurately discern narration versus dialogue but B.J. does a great job of making sure you are able to figure out what is what. I absolutely loved listening to Crushing on Love.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I was unable to do so but I listened to it whenever I was in the car and it definitely made the drives go faster.

"Shannon & Steve - Awesome Read"

Melissa Foster and BJ Harrison team up to bring you a laugh out loud delightful story. Melissa Foster weaves a story about Colorado Mountain man Steve and Braden cousin Shannon. Shannon has a crush on Steve so takes a research job staying in the cabin next to his. Steve doesn't really think he needs someone in his life and not a girl from a Maryland beach town. But they do share common interests, with a love of nature and the outdoors. BJ Harrison's reading of this awesome story kept me riveted. Another 5 star book!

    "Crushing on Grizz"

If I could choose the perfect voice for Grizz and Shannon BJ Harrison would be it. He has the characters figured out. The feelings and emotions he portrays just using his voices is amazing.

Anyone who has followed my blog knows that I LOVE Melissa Foster and her Love in Bloom Series. This is my second favorite book in the series, my first being Treat Braden’s book ~Lovers at Heart. Steve.. Oh Steve. I wanted to climb that mountain and give him some company, even though he was seemed to be happy being a loner. I knew he needed company, I knew his soul mate was out there, and I was thrilled when Shannon Braden showed up on his mountain. She is exactly what he needed to shake up his life.

Shannon Braden is chatty and outgoing, both things Steve Johnson is not. I knew that when I heard Shannon and Steve were going to be together it was going to be fireworks. Melissa Foster did not disappoint. The sparks flew, the heat was obvious, and there was never a doubt that these two were meant to be. Yet, I really enjoyed their honesty and conversations. They put it all on the table, telling what they were each looking for, and what they were willing to give up. These conversations showed just how true and worthy there were of finding each other and their true loves.

This entire series is full of contemporary romances with amazing characters, wonderful happy ever afters, and hot sex! The characters are realistic and lovable. The settings are always amazing with the stunning mountains, exotic islands, beautiful beaches, and gorgeous ranches. But the best parts of Melissa’s stories are the relationship and friendships. They are the things that readers dream of.

If there is any doubt… CHECK THIS BOOK OUT! Actually check this entire series out. This is truly a series that can be read in any order. The characters make appearances in each other’s books but each book has a beginning and an ending. There are no cliffhangers.
