Publisher's summary

With two months left to find a husband and fulfill her grandmother’s ultimatum, Celia sets her sights on three eligible bachelors. Becoming betrothed to one of these wealthy, high-ranking men will surely prove her capable of getting married, so hopefully the wedding itself won’t be necessary for Celia to receive her inheritance. Step Two of her audacious plan is hiring the dark and dangerously compelling Bow Street runner Jackson Pinter to investigate the three men she’s chosen.

With Lady Celia bedeviling Jackson’s days and nights, the last thing he wants is to help her find a husband. And when she recalls shadowed memories that lead his investigation into her parents’ mysterious deaths in a new direction, putting her in danger, Jackson realizes the only man he wants Celia to marry is himself!

Fantastic conclusion to the series

This was a great series and this may be my favorite book in the lot. Definitely worth the credit. Best narration of the books for sure. Now to go check out Sabrina Jeffries other books…just don’t know where to start. 🤔

Nice Ending to The Hellions of Hallstead Hall

Sabrina Jeffries always writes enjoyable historical romance writers. I loved the Hellions of Hallstead Hall series and I'm glad they finally all found true love. The narrator did a good job with this book. I only wish that the narrators of the other books did as good a job as Justine Eyre did with this final installment of the Hallstead Hall series. I'd like to listen to the entire series again, but the narrators of the other books, except for How to Woo a Reluctant Lady did such a bad job narrating that I cannot listen to the series again.

Not the strongest finish

Compared to the other 4 books, this one was slow to get really started and seemed to drag at points, it was really only the last quarter of the book that I completely adored. the rest of it where as not horrendous, seemed to drag much slower in the build up and understanding the other 4 books have. Perhaps its because Cecelia does not draw me in as the other 4 children or "Hellions" did. It could also be that after 4 there are only so many romantic twist you can through into a story. the finality of the telling of what really happened to their parents was the highlight of this book and more intriguing then the romance between Cecelia and Mr Penenter.

It was not a five star but a definite 4.

Yes predictable as all romances are, but this book did not have the draw needed to keep me superbly interested throughout. I like a bit of excitement in my books. Twists and turns to the storyline that keeps the readers interested. Though I liked this book overall I feel it lacked that bit of excitement.
