Jason Bourne faces an impossible choice in this non-stop suspense thriller, written by a New York Times bestselling author.

Jason Bourne has been hired to impersonate a high-level government minister at a political summit meeting in Qatar, shielding the minister from any assassination attempts. Suddenly, armed gunmen storm the room, killing everyone but Bourne. Their target, however, isn't the minister Bourne impersonates....it is Bourne himself.

Kidnapped and transported to an underground bunker, Bourne finds himself face-to-face with an infamous terrorist named El Ghadan ("Tomorrow"). El Ghadan holds as his captive Soraya Moore, former co-director of Treadstone, and a close friend to Bourne, along with her two year old daughter.

Meanwhile, the President of the United States is in the midst of brokering a historic peace treaty between the Israelis and the Palestinians—an event that El Ghadan is desperate to prevent. He demands that Bourne carry out a special mission: kill the President.

If Bourne refuses, Soraya and her daughter will die.

Bourne must make a monstrous decision: save Soraya and her daughter, or save the President.

What did you love best about Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Bourne Ascendancy?

I liked the continued action and surprises every time you turned a page.

Would you be willing to try another one of Holter Graham’s performances?

The narrator leaves something to be desired. He did not enunciate well. You could not tell where the breaks were from one moment of action to the next. His voice sounded the same on all the characters. Fire the announcer.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this for all Bourne story lovers.

Great Story! A Thriller!

Not my favorite reader

some of the more explicit material was unnecessary. miss the actual Robert Ludlum stories. The original Bourne series was far more compelling of stories.

Lustbader is no Ludlum

A fast-paced spy novel. Bourne and his girlfriend, Sara, are amazing. Think on their feet. Unafraid of any obstacle. On the other hand, I found Sarai and her daughter, Sonia, to be far less interesting. I understand that a two-year old would not respond well in a prison setting but just didn't think that they added much to the story except for putting more pressure on Bourne. Apparently Bourne must have perfected teleporting, as he seemed to get from Afghanistan to Singapore to Dubai in minutes. The whole timetable of the story did not seem to be well-thought out. I also found the whiny president when he couldn't have Camilla there immediately for sex to be overdone. I don't think anyone gets to be president if they are that petulant and impatient. The bad guys were thoroughly rotten and almost caricatures rather than people. A good story but not a great one.

I found the narrator's voice for Sonia to especially grating.

Another Typical Bourne Novel

The plot was great, but narration was so-so, there were parts that were suppose to be whisper dialog, where the narrator really whispered, making the dialog unclear as the volume dropped very low continuously for several minutes followed by normal dialog volume, I had to adjust volume continuously, making it annoying to listen.

Good plot but not well presented

Would have liked to have had different people for the voices of the different characters. Other wise great job on it.
