Publisher's Summary

Cyber Armageddon has come. America will not survive!

Cyber-security analyst Kate McCarthy knows something ominous is about to happen in the US banking system. She has a place to go if things get hectic, but it’s far from the perfect retreat.

When a new breed of computer virus takes down America’s financial network, chaos and violence erupt. Access to cash disappears and credit cards become worthless. Desperate consumers are left with no means to purchase food, fuel, and basic necessities. Society melts down instantly and the threat of starvation brings out the absolute worst humanity has to offer.

In the midst of the mayhem, Kate will face a post-apocalyptic nightmare that she never could have imagined. Her only reward for survival is to live another day in the gruesome new reality which has eradicated the world she once knew.

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.

Another Great book by Mark Goodwin

What can I say, this book was simply excellent and I can't wait for the next one in the series to be released.

The story is great, compelling and keeps your interest....oh and there is a really cool twist with the way this book begins.

The narrator does a fantastic job and I am thrilled that the author kept her in the line up from the Ava series. A bad narrator will totally kill an audio book and Stacey Glemboski did an excellent job narrating this new book.

Great Start to another Awesome series by Mark!!

Fantastic book on possibly the most likely scenario for a meltdown in today's world. So glad to see Stacey narratoring this, she's fantastic. Being a Christian, I love Mark's approach to spreading the gospel in a setting that many of the unprepared are likely to find themselves in. Keep it up mark!!!

Great book worth a listen.

It truly is a Post-Apocalyptic Techno-Thriller. I really enjoyed this book and Stacey Glemboski did an amazing job bringing it to life. This is an exciting listen that you won’t be able to put down. You won’t be disappointed. Mark Goodwin is an amazing author and has hit another one out of the park. Can’t wait for the next book and have been missing your podcasts. Thanks for the profanity free entertainment. Keep the books coming.

COULD THIS BE,,,,,,,

could this be a look into days to come? mark has another great series in the making. the story and the narrator will pull you into the book as though you are there and makes it hard to stop listening. I am not a religious man but with all his books he gets you to open up and think of things from a different view. keep up the good work and can't wait till the next book.

Breaking the prepper glass ceiling.

Drone operators with gaming and computer experience excel in their field. I guess, but transferable skills from the gaming community onto the real battlefield? Kate is a strong and determined woman. I struggled, missing Kevin Pierce as the narrator. Male voices just didn't do it for me. However, if there was a male narrator and a woman it would have been great.
The story was great as are all of Mark's books. Appreciate the wholesomeness and Christian perspective his books are written with.
I do look forward to books 2 & 3. Thanks Mark.

Another thought-provoking story!

Goodwin has done it again with a could-be-real story that gives one pause. How tenuous IS this thing cyber thing into which we put all of our faith?

Engaging <br />

This story is similar to his other stories but I still can't get enough of it. I always love how he illustrates GOD and faith in his stories. They always inspire me.

A very possible reality!

Love the characters in the book; even the annoying ones add to the story. Our society depends on cyber security, and this book lays out just how easily it would be to destroy it, and what could happen to our society! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!
I don’t know about you, but recently my bank was down for a day and a half. My first thought was... Is this it? Dang I should have prepared better! But luckily, it was just a fluke.... or was it a trial run? Ms Glemboski does a great narration of the characters and book.

Great Book

I love all of Mark’s books. The problem with other apocalypse type books is they are very dark. While Mark’s books aren’t warm and fuzzy all the time, he brings in humor and hope which keeps the story from becoming depressing. I learn something in every book and am challenged to do some studying in my bible as well. I highly recommended all of his novels and make sure to check out the Prepper Recon site as well.

So much promise

All a bit tame in the end, meandering through to a weak climax, Glemboski does a great job narrating but it’s not enough to instill any magic into the tale, if there is a book two, I will give it a wide berth
