Publisher's Summary

Straight is the last word to describe me. But the club can’t know. And I’m not about to jump out of that closet.

Cleaning up the motorcycle club’s act is dirty business, and Slim is the one person I trust. I can’t keep away, not when he’s the only man I’ve ever loved. The club can’t know that things are changing between us, but Slim doesn’t want to keep secrets for long.

As betrayal hits the Iron Hunters from every corner, I know I’m going to have to find a way to balance leadership and love, or I’m going to lose them both.

But when my past comes back to bite me, it may already be too late...

cliffhanger

Would I listen to it again: yes - but at 04/2020 has some editing issues
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: good pace, intriguing characters and an interesting story - if harsh language isn't to your liking, skip this one, these guys are tough and they don't sugar coat anything.

Narrator comment: Eric Umstott has a voice that suits these characters. He's done a good job with the narration, I had no problem distinguishing characters, he has good inflections and intonations and it all works to bring the characters to life.

With the editing issues sorted out this will be a great book.

Pretty cool, when you ignore, the mistakes.

Chapter 2.5 and 12.5 are the same and Chapter 9 is totally from another book with a female narrator! Naughty Naughty! somebody did not do their homework!
I pushed on and re-listened, ignoring the sound editing needed. The story itself is quite good, and will definitely listen to book two. These bikers are of the dark variety, and as all gang related shit goes, it doesn't matter how hard you try to get out, someone always wants to pull you back in. It's definitely very angsty and entertaining.
Happy Listening

Who didnt edit this book

What the heck!?! Chapter 12 is a replay of chapter 2 and there is a chapter that is actually read by a women.... I wanted to like and finish this book but, I'm so confused 😕 about what is going on.... Hopefully, this will get fixed and re-released. It's a DID NOT FINISH for this wreck.. The way it is now, it didn't deserve one star but, I had to give it or i couldn't submit my review....

unique and addictive read

I was given an audiobook code and offered an honest review in return. Man am I ever glad I came across this opportunity. I have read mc books in the past and and mm books but this was my first mm mc book. first I have to say the audio editing problems mentioned in previous reviews were not present in my listening so this must have been fixed. The narration was really great. The narrator's voice was perfect for the characters. He did an amazing job at changing his voice to delineate different characters.
The story is so sweet. It is a friends to lovers romance. Ward and Slim have been friends forever. I love their friendship and the way it changes and grows.I love when the main characters are crushing on eachother for a while and neither knows it. The longing looks and quick glances, the inner dialog is so good. The book is full of suspense and is primarily about the mc and the daily going on there. Two things to be aware of 1. this ends in a cliffhanger 2. this is part of a trilogy.
I highly recommend this book. I throughly enjoyed the beginning of this trilogy.

Ride With Me

Ride With Me is book 1 in the Iron Hunters series and does end in a cliffhanger. This book is action packed and even has some stolen kisses. Ward has taken over as President of their MC after his father passes and Slim becomes his second in command. With all that's going on with the Club they're trying to find their own way now that Ward is leading them. If you enjoy motorcycle club books you won't want to miss this series.
Narrator Eric Umstott does an amazing job. He has the perfect voice for these characters.

solid start

I received a free audible copy via a FB group, Audiobooks for free, (that is awesome) and in return said I would leave a review.
This was a good beginning and not quite what I expected. I figured each book in the series would be of a different members' story. Instead, it's continuous (at least for 1 & 2). Slim and the Pres are likeable enough along with a few other members but I'm really digging the prospects.
I'm very interested in how the author will play this out after that little nugget dropped at the very end.

Mediocre all around

The overall story is average, with some parts hard to believe, but the worst part is how the book ended or lack thereof. It continues to the next book. I hate how movies/dramas leave you hanging! Well, this book does it too! I did like the narration. At least it made it somewhat interesting.

Insight into the world of Bikers

I was not sure what to expect, this was my first biker experience and I had quite the pleasant surprise. The character of Ward got my interest immediately, his pain and vulnerability was immediately apparent. The insight into his past and the longing to be himself was conveyed and brought out your emotions. The story in book one is well developed and give you a sense of the comradery and sense of community of the men. The wonderful love between Ward & Slim was also something that you were rooting for.

Well Done Sasha & JP

Missing too much

I love mc stories and this looked interesting. What I didn’t realize was that it is a cliffhanger. I don’t always read reviews or I would have know this. I love stories when the guy has to decide if he will admit he is gay or give up on a relationship. I love the romance that the characters go through. This story has a lot of denial but little romance. Maybe that’s to come later. I didn’t feel that the flow of this story was consistent. I thought it hopped from issue to issue without actually dealing with anything specific. I usually love J.P. Oliver stories but this one just didn’t seem to come together. Again maybe in the next book. I think Eric Umstott did a great job on the narration but the story just was missing somethings. I was given a free copy and this is a voluntary review

This is such a bad audiobook

I was looking forward to listening to this book but:

1. I didn't realise that it was told over 3 books - annoying!
2. The narrator is great.
3. No idea why chapter 9 is dedicated to a fantasy/magical novel set in a classroom and narrated by a female!
4. I got to chapter 11 or 12 and it repeated the chapter after the funeral!

Butchered. Wait for the edit.

so I was just casually enjoying this book, getting into the characters and started rooting for them, then BAM! witches and random stuff start happening in a female narrators voice. Who know what book that's from because it's just slotted in and replaced a full chapter. WTF. try and move on and figure out what's happening from the missed chapter.

You think you've caught up and try and sink back into it, then POW, you repeat chapter 2 and MISS THE FIRST KISS AND THE FIRST ATTACK ON THE MC. I give up.

I hope the author and editor of the narration can notify me when this gets sorted out. I liked it and would like to be able to listen properly, but this needs work.

Enjoyable Series

I loved this series and listened to them back to back, which I recommend due to the cliffhangers in books one and two. Interesting main characters with sizzling chemistry. Plot had a few issues but overall very enjoyable.

Yes I will

I enjoyed listening to book.

I do like a MC story. This is left with a cliff hanger, know you need to read more than this one and it is very different from many other MC books
