😍 Lily Chu does it again! ❤️

Another sexy man and another fabulous story from Lily Chu! This time Phillipa Soo brings her real life hubby (Steven Pasquale) in to narrate opposite her in this swoony rom-com and I loved all of it.

I laughed out loud so many times while listening and the take on the “one bed at the inn” trope had me dead. So great. One of my favorite parts of the book, hands down.

As always with Chu, the characters are fully fleshed out- with flaws and actual feelings which helps you feel connected to them. (And want to throttle the ones who wrong them.) It was sad saying goodbye to them at the end of the book.

The time flew by. You will love this book, absolutely worth the listen!

Not your typical rom summer book

I went into this book thinking it would be like another typical, topical romance novels. But it wasn’t. I started reading it before bed and had it stuck in my head the whole next day. It had some really great themes and had one of the best performances that I’ve heard on audible. I super duper recommend this book.

Healthy Normal MMC

The story was original and the male main character is a green flag. Generally enjoyable.

Perfect combination of mystery and romance for the summer

The story really kept me hooked with the twist and turns of mystery solving while making me kick and giggle at the cute summer flirtation with a perfect dash of spice

I didn't like that her family didn't really have any ending! Idk why but missed that part. Other than that cute story.

Highly recommend for some light and meaningful romance. The characters are likeable and the story makes sense-more plausible than many romances. Lily Chu is a favorite author.

I love the cheesy jokes. :-)

The second hand embarrassment at the beginning was quite painful, but the rest of the story was just wonderful. I loved the humor and the puns and the character building. It's definitely one I could listen to again and laugh out loud even a second time.

Memorable characters

Vivid character descriptions caused me to really like the hero's and dislike others. Hope to encounter them again in other stories.

Cute story line and easy listen. Narration was good and characters were genuine. I would recommend for a fun summer read.

cute but slow

I love Phillips So and hearing her read was really cool. the sound was funny a few times, like it became quiet for a few sentences then go back.
the story was cute but the book could have been 1/2 as long and tell the story.
