Enlightening

All EMDR therapists need to hear how to prepare their clients to process trauma. These techniques and insights provide a a safer approach to trauma and addiction healing, while reminding the therapist to approach the client from a “what do you need?”, perspective and avoid the pitfall of traumatizing them further.

The narration of this makes it very difficult to endure

The ideas within this are engaging and clinically useful. However, the book was let down in the extreme by the sing-song-yet-flat, slow narration: it was extremely difficult to listen to and in the end I have had to stop for a while as it was simply too irritating.
