Excellent Series...

I’ve just completed the three books in this wonderful series. They are The Echo Killings, A Beautiful Corpse and Revolver Road. The initial premise is that the protagonist (Harper McClain) was a child when she found her mother murdered. She has since grown to be an investigative journalist and is using all of her skills to find out what happened to her mother. That is between doing her job and her tumultuous relationship with a cop.
Sophie Amoss does an excellent job narrating.
This three book series (I hope there will be many more!) is very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great Series

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series! The author HP has created a story that interweaves the life and work this major crime reporter faces daily. The police think she would make a great detective since she not only reports the stories but keeps digging until she helps solve the cases, much to the police department’s dismay. I hope for more books in this series!

Average read

I loved the first and second book of the series, but this one fell flat for me. The end was rushed. After building up the hunt for her mothers killer over three books it was an anticlimactic conclusion. The book was just nowhere near as good as her first two.

I also found it unrealistic that the friends (and band mates) of this singer/musician would just open the house doors to her and divulge all the info they did. Even to the point of calling her and asking her to come back out because there were TV vans and reporters all over the street. She’s a crime reporter! There is zero reason for them to trust her. It was hard for me to pull it together after that.

A great series,,,, needs Book 4 ..

I loved the story line from. the start and listened to all 3 books in one week!
look forward to many more books from this Author. Sophie Amos is my favorite Narrator

Enjoy some Harper!

I enjoyed this third book in the series and can not wait to read more of Harper's story and her crime solving skills. I originally did not care for this third book, but then I reread it and realized I must have been in an audiobook funk. I recommend this series.

I really loved this series and didn’t want it to end! Sophie Amoss does a fantastic job and I always love her narration.

What's Next?

This is the third in this series and I'm ready for more! Good story and even better narration. Recommend to start at the beginning. Guarantee that you'll
continue with all 3.

If you’ve been following the series, this book clears up one of the story lines nicely.

Listened to the first one. Loved characters, action, interconnected characters. Bought other two and listened to them immediately. Can’t wait for next one.
