Publisher's summary

Paranormal investigators Sam Firecloud and Lacey Fitzpatrick are preparing for a new venture—launching Sam’s ceramic art studio with an open house. Their plans are suddenly derailed when someone targets Sam with deadly intent. The LAPD are on it, but leads are slim, and meanwhile they have a new haunting to research, one that is threatening small children. Neither investigation gives up clues easily, but Sam and Lacey have to keep working both before someone ends up dead.

Surprises!

misunderstanding, potter, private-investigators, supernatural, medium, Navajo, ghosts, ghost-hunting, freeing, ex-cop, family, investigation, investigators, paparazzi, spirits, felony-vandalism*****

The family backstory is really a major thing this time. Sam has left his construction job and is working full time on his pottery; he has even brought out another yet quite different line to offer. Now he is opening his own gallery with its very own protective ghost who is quite happy right where she is. She even helps when a no-gooder from their investigative past wants revenge.
The investigative aspect is in a house in a nearby suburb where a family has discovered a very sad ghost with quite a tale to tell.
Of course, it's another excellent read!
Julie John is the talented voice actor who masterfully narrates this series.
