Publisher's summary

The Netherworld.

It is a hellish landscape inhabited only by Demons: creatures born from the dark abyss. But it is also the home of Salvos, and she is finally back. It is no different than she remembered it. A terrible place where only the strongest survive.

Can she navigate through Revelation and find her first companion? Or will she get lost in the secrets her father has been hiding?

what im the harck

As happy as I am to see Heik again, the book just isn't quite scratching that Salvos itch. I'll hold out for book 11 since I'm this far in, but this book has so far been one of the lower ones in the series ao far. I do like the references to some of your other books in the beginning though.

REVEIW FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE WORRIED ABOUT BAD REVEIW

this book is good but has no stakes besides for not dying and just sets up for the next book. it feels like only a little happened but its world building of the nether world and the devils past in this book was cool just don't expect the same thing from this book that the others gave this one almost feels like filler but gets better towards the end.

the only time it repeats itself is the for most of the first chapter and one character is weird for like a chapter.

what the he'll was that

sudden extreme drop in the quality of the writing it constantly repeats itself and is it just me or is Salvos way stupider than normal. The book is also short and expensive the book also just suddenly cuts off it feels like they just cut the book into two so they could sell another book later. This book fells lazy and greedy I might be done with this auther.

what was that

ok. I've absolutely loved every single salvos book until now. I've been so looking forward to seeing what Hike has been up to but all the other stuff in this book was so boring. fingers crossed 11 is back to par.

why does everyone forgot everything, constantly.

it happens alot throughout the series but seems to be getting worse. characters will suddenly forget what's going on and have to spend 15 minutes trying to remember only for them to do it all over again in the next chapter. They will also constantly say the same thing over and over in slightly different ways.

These small annoyances are easy to overlook in the earlier books but now they seem to take up half the story. I think I'm done with this series.

So little happened.

This was just a very disappointing lul in the story. I feel this whole "book" could've been summed up in 2-3 chapters in a better installment in the series. The VA did a great performance as always though.

Where is the rest of the book?

So this series' books are all over the place in length, but this one is not only the shortest yet. Additionally, it feels like it is cut off mid sentence. I thought I had an error in my download until the credits started playing. This series has always had editing issues. Literally, copy pasted from the web series with no changes to account for either book or audio book formats. The last paragraph of a chapter is often the first of the next and entire sections of Salvos' status are repeated in the same paragraph.

The story continues and is enjoyable, but the audiobooks seem to be cut short to sell more volumes. It is sad to see. I will continue reading, but this ends my time listening to this series. A great series, just no one put in the effort to translate it beyond its original web based format.

Salvos: What did I say again?

The beginning of EVERY chapter rehashes what happened in the previous chapter.
whole story is probably 3 hours long, not 9. This did not need to be its own book and is purely a cash grab.

If you want to skip this book, let me rehash the whole thing for you.

WARNING SPOILERS:

Salvos sees her dad, her dad says there's a multiverse then throws her into hell. Hell almost immediately explodes, apparently this is a seasonal cycle, and happens ever few years...just so happens Salvos was born during the "birth" cycle.

So all hell breaks loose, fire brimstone, lands cracking apart. Salvos flees underground into a dungeon that turns out to be her dad's former kingdom.

Cut to Hike and finding out he wants to find salvos, he really wants to find her, no really he does. So he tries to get away from the succubus that is attached to him... because he REALLY wants to find salvos....

Eventually he does, but only after several attempts at getting away, and he eventually takes the succubus and two other demons that probably don't matter with him. Oh and mysteriously the king of hell knows he has gone rogue...no reason given.

So salvos explores the dungeon finds a some baddies, fights them, then runs into a guy that her Dad used to be "friends" with. He is insane, takes salvos to the "end of the world" it's literal chaos infestation. They fight a bunch of chaos monsters. Salvos learns a new skill that allows her to summon her own pocket dimension like her dad. She stops the "friend" from committing suicide, then teleports away after finding out the friend is likely in love with her dad.

The end.

LITERALLY THAT'S THE WHOLE STORY.

Fill in repeating what I said 20 times and rehashing Salvo's stats 20 times and you get the idea...this book is a joke.

I am not a goldfish

I love the series really do, but I just can't anymore. if by this point you don't know the hike was her first companion I don't think you ever will there is no need for it to be brought up 5 separate times in the first 30 minutes. I'm tierd of being treated like a toddler that loves sprinting head first into brick walls. It is not a revelation that level 159 is the next level after level 158 and yes I know that level 160 comes after that(I'm not talking about level up notifications there is just a paragraph when she is lvl 158 explaining that those are the next levels). The negligence in editing repeating paragraphs and just giving redundant information over and over again in sligtly different ways. honestly at this point I'm surprised the book doesn't start with a 3 chapter monolog of Salvos saying that she is salvos and describing her hair is 17 different ways.
