Publisher's Summary
With her shining gift for “exquisite and enchanting” (Bookpage) storytelling, Jude Deveraux sweeps listeners away in a breathtaking follow-up to her beloved New York Times best-seller The Summerhouse - where a marvelous new adventure awaits.
Magic most definitely resides in the Maine summerhouse where the mysterious Madame Zoya has granted the innermost wishes of its visitors. Now, three women have come to this special place with one thing in common: a painful past they would each like to rewrite. Amy, who hides a heartbreaking loss behind her seemingly perfect marriage and family...Faith, a widow in her 30s whose deepest grief is for a man from years ago...and Zoe, an artist shunned by her hometown for reasons she doesn’t know after a traumatic night erased her memory.
With their mystical powers, Madame Zoya and her sister, Primrose, are about to transport the trio to 18th-century England to alter Amy’s ancestry. But although surprises await each of them, will stepping back in time bring the women the happy endings they seek?

Since 1987 ....
I began reading your books I believe in 1986. I was a young airman in the Air Force. A friend's mother turned me on to one of your books and I have read every single 1 of them since then. I've shared my books, your stories, many times over the years. I recently became a member in the audible club and begin listening to your books, ones that I had read many years ago. I have fallen in love with them all over again. My only complaint after over 30 years of being a fan of your books is that you have only ever had 2 black characters.

Couldn’t stop listening
I listened to this book from beginning to end. I had to know what happened next. The author does such a great job of describing the scenes that I can visualize them. It was also well read. She did a good job of changing her voice for each character. I have the first Summerhouse book in paperback and have read it a few times over the years. It’s one of the few books I keep in paperback. I’m anxious to read more books from Jude.

Return to 1797
This book follows Jude Deveraux's Summerhouse. Same house in Maine, 3 different women, but with a twist. Amy, Faith and Zoe all have dramatically different stories and are sent to 3 weeks in the past. BUT who's past? These characters are more like family members than characters in a book. You find yourself wishing you could spend more time in 1797 with them. AND you will never guess the ending.
Return to Summerhouse was a great read.

A great sequel to the first book!
Fact, I liked it better than the first one, I guess because I liked all three main characters a whole lot. I gave the story a four star only because I wish it could have been three times as long. They were great descriptions and details on the first visit by all three women, but the second visit and all the life changes we’re done and narrative style, not play-by-play descriptions. This is my favorite series from Jude Deveraux. A big thumbs up. I will keep an listen to this one again. And probably yet again.
