Publisher's summary

With her shining gift for “exquisite and enchanting” (Bookpage) storytelling, Jude Deveraux sweeps listeners away in a breathtaking follow-up to her beloved New York Times best-seller The Summerhouse - where a marvelous new adventure awaits.

Magic most definitely resides in the Maine summerhouse where the mysterious Madame Zoya has granted the innermost wishes of its visitors. Now, three women have come to this special place with one thing in common: a painful past they would each like to rewrite. Amy, who hides a heartbreaking loss behind her seemingly perfect marriage and family...Faith, a widow in her 30s whose deepest grief is for a man from years ago...and Zoe, an artist shunned by her hometown for reasons she doesn’t know after a traumatic night erased her memory.

With their mystical powers, Madame Zoya and her sister, Primrose, are about to transport the trio to 18th-century England to alter Amy’s ancestry. But although surprises await each of them, will stepping back in time bring the women the happy endings they seek?

LOVED IT!

Loved this book! Listened to the whole book in one day. It kept my attention through out. Especially enjoyed the characters change in perspectives with an appreciation for what they have as well as taking responsibility for their lives.

Rushed

The story was great, but rushed at the end. I wanted more about the other two characters.

A great sequel to the first book!

Fact, I liked it better than the first one, I guess because I liked all three main characters a whole lot. I gave the story a four star only because I wish it could have been three times as long. They were great descriptions and details on the first visit by all three women, but the second visit and all the life changes we’re done and narrative style, not play-by-play descriptions. This is my favorite series from Jude Deveraux. A big thumbs up. I will keep an listen to this one again. And probably yet again.

Liked it even more than the first book!

It's not often I like a sequel as well, or better than the first book. But this one, I do. It's got lots of twists and turns and surprises. A very enjoyable read! And I like that the author didn't feel the need to give evey little detail of a sex scene!

Good time traveling story...

Very enjoyable, good characters and fun plot. I liked The Summerhouse but this one has more “meat” and wasn’t focused on sex. Best part was hearing a plot line where someone’s wish is more focused on someone else....and they stay true to their values throughout. I appreciate the thought given to the truth of youth and its wants, versus what happens when passions are spent and “life” takes over.

Another great book series

All I can say is that this author is an excellent writer. Her description of characters and the places they visit are so detailed you feel like you are in the story going through the emotions with the main characters.
I can’t wait to get another book from Jude Deveraux.

Encore!

I read 'The Summerhouse' how many years ago? It left me with a feeling of 'what if'. I was so excited to see this book & loved how everything turned out.
