Publisher's summary

Sequel to Ambush—award-winning apocalyptic thriller

Can today's militaries board and control the emptied alien armada that hangs over our heads?

After the massive battle to save today's Earth went horribly wrong, leaving a huge fleet of ghost ships hanging over the planet, humanity is left to fight for itself. Can we use our genetic link to the fleet's fallen commanders to rein in the ships before they start crashing down onto an already battered world? And when dark galactic forces once again amass in our skies, can humanity make a stand?

It’s 2019. Jake and Sandy saved the world…twice!

But that was yesterday.

Independence Day meets The X-Files when Air Force fighter pilots Jake Giard and Sandra Fitzpatrick join a decades-old secret project to integrate today's Earth into a galactic government. But when a galactic civil war spills onto our shores, plunging the planet into an otherworldly post-apocalyptic hell, can Jake and Sandy save humanity from extinction?

Following the apocalyptic events of Ambush, Jake must board and somehow control the advanced alien fleet of huge ships before they start falling into the Atlantic.

Yesterday, Captain Sandra Fitzpatrick learned she’s pregnant. Then she helped save the world. Now, she must keep her condition a secret (even from Jake, the father to be). The remnants of humanity need Sandy and her cobbled together band of warriors to somehow master the alien technology.

If Jake and Sandy prevail, and if Earth’s ravaged militaries can unite, can they adapt now outdated tactics to the limitless battlefield of space?Find out. Start Retribution today!

Great book!

Compelling characters, great story. Beginning was a little confusing for me probably because I did not give it my full attention. I would highly recommend any Dean Cole novel!

A Great Action Packed Story

I enjoyed it, I recommend it and will listen again somewhere down the line. Not that I know what the heck I am talking about but I feel like this author’s work gets better with each book and Bray, yeah well I guess he is alright too. ;-)

You will love it!

Well written and presented. The only negative I would offer is that the author way over uses the phrase "God/s Damn" . Given that Mr. Cole is such an imaginatively gifted author, it just seems a poor choice.

Good story

Good story. Love RC Bray. Doing this just to leave a star review since you have to have fifteen words.

Sector 64 series rocked

The whole sector 64 series was really enjoyable from the get go. Hopefully Dean writes a trilogy. The origins was set up like a DC or a marvel series feel from book one. Loved it!

It was meh-some

I really wanted to like this book, RC bray was great, per usual; probably the only reason I kept listening. The preface was great, it has all the elements of a Sci-Fi that I love!

I found the writing difficult to follow. The prospectives changed way too often and then the timeline would overlap which made it very confusing. I found myself rewinding a lot because I was so confused. It felt like, without notice, the author went back in time to go over the same occurrence from the bad guy’s perspective and then again from the girlfriends perspective. And I was like is this the same bright light or a new bright light?!

There were also too many of the same themes between the first book and the second book, which made me eye roll.

If the writing was more straightforward instead of beating around the bush, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Wow

Reading or listening to science-fiction since I was seven years of age, the author definitely had a new and interesting spin on old concepts I enjoyed this series thoroughly.

I will look into his library for new listens.

Thanks
