Just the book I was searching for

An awesome book with well defined characters and races. So excited for the continuation of the series.

This one is timeless!

I love the allegory to the persecution and courage of the church through the ages! Highly recommend!

Excellent!

This was great! I have read the book before, but I didn't know that I would also love the audio book. I think the narrative performance was very well done. Nice work! This was worth my time to listen to (sorry it took me so long!) and highly enjoyable. I love the characters, especially Kyrin, Kaden, Trask and Anne. I am looking forward to listening to the next one.

This is quite a gem I stumbled across

The writing and storytelling make me think of a cross between Stephen R. Lawhead and Robin Hobb. As an allegory of Christianity, this story does a good job of representing personal faith and persecution. It does so without being preachy. Instead, it shows sincere struggles as the characters react to outside forces. I appreciate their depth and growth as they experience trials, and I particularly enjoyed the unfolding of the two parties coming together. This tale is appropriate for youth as there is no inappropriate language or sexual situations. While there is action violence, the descriptors are not gory. Unfortunately, as of this review, only two of the six-plus books in this series have been released as audiobooks. With the last one being released over 4 years ago, I have my doubts about the others seeing the light of day. I might have to get the eBook versions and experience them the traditional way. In the meantime, I look forward to listening to the second book soon.

Great story

The hardest part of this book is knowing not all Christians feels as strong for Jehovah as they do in this book. Great story, and hope this encourages us to stand strong as well!
