Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. Childish No More?
I really like the start to this series and I love how it tied into the Rules series. Here, we see Andrew, a friend to and employee of Landon's, reconnecting with Clara. She was once the girl he teased mercilessly and is now his colleague and a woman for whom he can't get enough. It's both cute and pathetic.
Andrew still reverts to his childish ways on occasion in attempts to get Clara's attention. The story teeters between happy and sad as pasts are revealed with some big secrets surfacing in very public ways.
One of my favorite parts is how Clara handled the situation with her ex. It's fabulous! I could easily picture it and was cheering her on each time it was mentioned. 👊💥🎉
I'd suggest reading or listening to the Rules series first. There are spoilers for that series in this one. Don't worry, it's worth it. 😉
I went between reading and listening to the audio. The narrator, Leanne Woodward, did a good job. I'm looking forward to what comes next in the series.

Slow build bully second chance romance
This book is a very slow build and the heroine is fixated on her past bullying relationship with the male lead. It gets tiresome very quickly when he is trying to start fresh as an adult and she won’t let the past go. There’s very little steam and this second chance romance barely gets started when drama from her past and his threaten the budding relationship. Her brother seems to push her away from the guy to save political embarrassment and she just wilts under the pressure. I will read the next one in hopes she becomes a stronger character and finds her backbone.

Repeating History
What an emotional ride. I really enjoyed this book. This is an enemies to lovers kind of romance. Clara and Andrew have history, but not the good kind. Just when I thought everything was going to turn around, their past comes back to destroy what progress they made. This book ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to jump in to the next book.

Good but felt as if it just cut off
Giving it 3.5 stars simply because I felt like it just cut off. I understand a cliffhanger but this just felt incomplete. Learning who Class's mother was would have been the perfect cliffhanger. Having said that I really enjoyed the storyline and how it progressed. I love the fact that Clara held out for as long as she did in seeing Andrew. Oftentimes you see a female character who has been deeply hurt by a male character in second chance encounters and they seem to just jump right in the guys arms. I love that this wasn't like that. The narrator was just ok for me. She wasn't great but she wasn't bad either. All in all this is a great story, one that I definitely want to continue.

Captivating!
Repeating History starts out as a lighthearted and amusing story of two adults, now co-workers, who spent most of their childhood living next door to each other, but never really understood the heart or mind of the other. Clara is certain that Andrew lived to tease and humiliate her, without a care for how she felt. Andrew lived his whole life, hoping to get her attention by any means possible. Don't most little boys show that they like a girl by pulling her pigtails or try to get their attention by throwing apples at them? Now in her new job, Andrew is Clara's boss and he's still as cute as the young boy she knew and he's still chewing on apples whenever she sees him. He feels the same way he always did about Clara and isn't going to let her get away from him without at least fighting for her. Clara starts to understand that her angry reaction to his bullying is covering the real feelings she has for him. Yes, she's always liked him, too, but couldn't see it until now. How can they have a growing attraction and relationship at work and not get caught by their co-workers! Clara demands that they stay away from each other in the office so their collegues don't know what's going on between them. What she doesn't know is that they have an office bet as to when the two will get together! Andrew's and Clara's siblings provide depth to the story and definitely have a way of encouraging or discouraging their romance. The story is rich with side characters that are essential to the progression of the plot. Just when things are coming together for Clara and Andrew, secrets from their pasts look like they're going to pull them apart. Those surprises are shocking in some ways, yet so maddening. A scandal is right around the corner that is going to test all that they know and feel for one another. I'm left with a gloomy feeling, needing to know what happens next! I listened to this on audible and the narration was excellent! Leanne Woodward speaks each voice and does them all admirably. Each character has a sound and a personality that she is able to bring through in her narration, making them all come alive!

overall i enjoyed the story
overall i enjoyed the story and listened to it in one sitting as it didnt drag at all.
The only negative that i have there appears to be some gaslighting. Andrew is a little dismissive of Clara's pain but she also doesn't verbalize it well enough for him to understand the emotional impact. I am hoping they really hash it out in the next book.
Well written and perfect pacing. well developed characters and I look forward to the next installment

My kind of bully romance
I'm not a huge fan of guys (or girls for that matter) being mean to the opposite sex because they deep down want to do dirty things with them or they can't handle the emotion being pulled from them. Andrew might have been a jerk but he was redeemable. Clara definitely makes Andrew work for his redemption and I'm incredibly appreciative of that! Nor does she just fall into his bed. Thank you for giving us a lady with willpower and a strong spin! Saying that, I wish the ending showed her in a stronger light.
The narrator could have easily ruined this entire story. First, I didn't realize this was a UK-based story (which are actually some of my favorites). They characters kept saying 'arse' and I was crazy confused. Then I heard it mentioned that they were in the UK. I feel like some additional vocabulary would have been used but I'm just being picky there. The American accent with a UK-based story threw me for a loop. I probably spent half the story confused just based on the missing accent. Then there were several words that the narrator pronounced oddly... saying them with too many syllables. I'd also really prefer some slight variations with characters voices. Even if the female narrator can't do a male voice, a slight change could have helped a lot.
I totally still plan on listening to the next audiobook. I have to find out how everything plays out but I'm really hoping that a different narrator was chosen!

Enemies To Lovers Romance
Repeating History by Hanleigh Bradley is a enemies to lovers romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Leanne Woodward.
This is the second book of Hanleigh’s that I have read and it definitely won’t by my last. The story does end on a cliffhanger but that was no surprise since it’s the first book in the History Series. I cannot wait for the second book Deleting History to be released on audible.
Leanne did a good job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves enemies to lovers or second chance romances.

Love story with a great twist
Clara was bullied by Andrew when they went to school together and she hoped that she'd never see him again, however he is a colleague at her new dream job. They are attracted to each other but Clara struggles to get over the way he treated her in the past, however much Andrew pursues her.
Really well written story, Clara is likeable but I just couldn't like Andrew, he never showed any remorse for the bullying he inflicted on her, just kept dismissing it as teasing.
Excellent twist to the story at the end.
Overall, the narrator was good, just a few English words mis-pronounced. Felt there could have been a bit more feeling to her words sometimes.

Being betrayed by her boyfriend was painful enough but the fact that he was doing it with her boss has Clara looking forward to her new job until she finds out who her co-worker is. She had been attracted to him when they were in school but the way he treated her left lasting effects.
Andrew and Clara went to school together and he has always been attracted her, but he didn’t realize that the way that he showed her he considered teasing, but she considered bullying. He is determined to show her that he not the same man and just when it looks like they are on the right track they are torn apart.
This is the beginning of a series and does end on a cliff hanger that leaves you wondering what the future holds for this couple. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and the performance of the narrator was a pleasure to listen to.

Great chick lit.
This was a great story and very easy to listen to. Finished it in a day as I kept wanting to know what happened next! I thought the characters were believable and relatable. I thought the narrator was good but found it odd that the story was set in England, yet all the characters had American accents! The story ended on a cliff hanger an I would like to hear what happens next. I shall look out for more from this author. Well worth a listen 👍🏻😁
