The story continues…

I absolutely love this series! It keeps me interested and looking forward to the next book. This one was just a growing up story with some action and I look forward to the show down!

Excellent post-apocalypse fiction

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, including the first series called The dark road. The characters have depth and the scenarios are realistic and interesting.

Lacking the usual tone and excitement I’ve come to know in this extended series of books

I was disappointed by this long awaited book in the series. There was a lot of internal reflection by Ben, almost to point of my boredom, as he worked through things in his mind. And then Joel…trying to decide how to impress his dad and make a bigger contribution while risking lives. So many times there was build up that went no where. And now to discover that this book is basically a lifeless bridge to the next in the series just really annoyed me.

Not much content

this book didn't get very far...all the other book had a beginning and end this book only had beginning and zero resolution...it's like the book just started and was over before anything happened.. by far not my favorite...loved all the others in this series
