Best-selling romance writer Hayden Lane has just lost the "perfect" man, but what real man could compete with the dark intriguing character she writes about? But when a psychic tells her that Hayden has had a past life, she yearns to know more, and despite the psychic's warnings, Hayden cannot let this go.

In an effort to learn about her past, Hayden is hypnotized, but instead of merely remembering, she awakens in Edwardian England and immediately faints. But when she wakes up again, she will embark on an adventure beyond her wildest dreams -- and will have the chance at a love so rapturous that it defies the boundaries of time.

Suffused with Jude Deveraux's trademark warmth, humor, and tender sensuality, Remembrance is an unforgettable tale of a remarkable woman and the one man who was her destiny.

I love this story! I’ve read it many time main print this is my first I audio. It is such a cool idea of revisiting past lives!! My only complaint is that the story ends too quickly, they meet again then bam! They’re getting married?! And then it’s the end… what?! I’m still trying to get over that they finally met up again. And now it’s over?
It felt rushed to me but other than that this story is great!! I love her works.

Great story but…

I love this book

I didn't read the reviews before purchasing because I already knew and LOVED the book. Had I done so I would have realized it's an abridged version. Still a great story, and although super short, it retains the essence of the story. Audible abridged version skips pedantic beginning of original book, which worked for me, but Including more of the second and especially the third part of original story would have made it more enjoyable. Worth it if using credits, not so much if you have to buy it. Also, the only audio version of Remembrance IS this one.

Abridged!

Great story up to the last ten pages. I love a happy ending BUT you’ve got to be kidding me. It felt like Jude got tired at the end and had reached her word quota. We got stuck with a sloppy wrap up. Wish she had invested a more realistic ending.

I prefer the full story to the abridged version. Love the story, though.

Preformed very well

Would you try another book from Jude Deveraux and/or J. Smith-Cameron?

I loved this book when I was younger. The abridged version just takes out to much of the story. It's a great story and I would love to see a movie made of the book, but we need an unabridged version of the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Remembrance?

When Callie and Talis were the center of the story. That part is my favorite. The characters seem so real and one can almost hate John Hadly and Alita.

What about J. Smith-Cameron’s performance did you like?

She does a great performance. She changes her voice well to fit the mood and scene.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remembrance is one of my all time favorite stories and I can not recommend it enough. I own the paper copy, the kindle copy and the audible. However, the audible is abridged so should NOT be listened to unless you have read the entire book first or you might be missing out.

I wish audible would release the unabridged version.

Beautiful Story but Audible is Abridged =(

I totally love this story. I think it really appeals to a hopeless romantic like me! Jude Deveraux can certainly write. I just wish it was abridged. Because when I read the book it was even more amazing!

This is my all time favorite book and the only romance novel I've ever finished, and it happens to have been the first that I attempted. It's just so charming and an easy, enjoyable read full of hope and wonder. It's one of my annual summer reads and I've read it so many times my first copies binding fell apart so I purchased a hard cover copy.

This audible is read very well with different voices etc and just throws you into the story. I finished it in a very busy day because I just kept going back every chance I got.

This story is so beautiful, not raunchy and has a mystical touch, which I love. It's actually what drew me to the book initially. I enjoy all of the characters and I think the antagonist is even presented well where you see all sides.

My only dislike is that it's not a longer book because it's THAT lovely.

the only romance novel for me
