A year has passed since the war against Jack's father freed the humans from their roles as blood slaves and servants to the vampire race. Having left the palace behind to ensure the outer towns are obeying the new laws, Jack struggles to come to terms with the grief and haunting memories that drove him from the palace in the first place. Secrets that have forced the town to live under the rule of the one man who could tear Jack and Hannah apart forever.

Ooooh jack

I love jack. Idk if here is a better character in this whole series. Other then maybe William as a close tie. I love that they have grown to be amazing friends and are helping each other heal and find purpose.

Jack in this story is a pure gentlemen. There are not enough of those in the world anymore. Not to mention a hero.

I had given up hope that the audio book series would be finished. Three years between book 4 and book 5 is a long wait. That being said, the fact that book 5 was released into audio gives me hope that books 6 and 7 will be released in the near future.

I can not believe my luck! I was searching thro ugh all the fantsy ya titles on audible and was hoping to remember what the title of this series was because I wanted to keep the author in my favorites bit couldn't remember the name or find it and finally I seen the title and could not believe that there just happened to be a brand new title released in this series . I was actually about to repurchase one that I already listened to years ago just to be able to have that great story to listen to again. I absolutely love this author and the series and am hoping to see more and am so happy and grateful to have found this !!! :)
