Great Book, Bland voice actor

Read the book years ago. Listening to the book on audible. The story is great, but the reader is just... meh. So bland. Hard to distinguish characters.

Great story, not dated, good narrator

Loved book when new.
Though set in mid-80’s, still not a dated story in 2018
Nice the way the author/reader rarely had to say “he said...” or “Misha commented...”
Little thing, but pay attention to it next book you listen too, unnecessary.
Minor story negative - if war started over oil needs, why didn’t any military moves head to the Middle East?

Classic war story

Loved it. Tom Clancy was an amazing author and you really feel like you're there in the 1980s watching WW3 take place. Mr. Pritchard does a terrific narration

Even though the book was written in the 1980's it still feels fresh and now more than ever a real possibility unfortunately once again. You won't be disappointed-buy it!

Such a good book. epitome of page turner

I love the narrator, and the pace of this book, man oh man. A must read for anybody with an inkling of military fiction interest.

Still fresh after 30 years

It would be interesting to know if military and even political leaders read a book like this and learning anything about making foolish decisions. But I guess not, because egos rule.
