Publisher's Summary

Cole Higginbotham ditched his elf hat for good when he quit his family’s lucrative year-round Christmas business. He’s finally found peace as an orchard caretaker - until one night when a mysterious speck of light appears, flitting among the apple trees. Herb farmer Noelle Arber must harvest enough fresh mistletoe to decorate Main Street or she’ll forfeit her much-needed contract fee. After she convinces Cole that she’s not a mistletoe poacher, he surprises her with an offer. Give him a copy of her detailed orchard map and he’ll help her decorate Main Street.

Cute Christmas Story

This was a sweet romance listen, with the focus on Christmas. It was very atmospheric. I learned quite a bit, that I did not know, about mistletoe. I loved how different themes kept popping back up during the story. I enjoyed the entrepreneurial spirit that is also woven throughout this book. It was a quick, easy, joyful listen.

Stephanie Dillard did a great job with the narration. She had great emotions and voices.

Put's You Right in That Holiday Spirit

When I began listening to Red Bows and Mistletoe, I liked the premise. Girl takes on a large Christmas project, has a catastrophe and needs a jolly elf to the rescue. However, it took a little longer to get away from Cole and Noelle's contentiousness and down to the fun than I would have liked. Once they did, however, this was a truly magical Christmasy story. I loved it once Cole's family got involved. That was THE best. Read or listen to it and you'll see. The Narrator did an excellent job with the voices of all of the characters and keeping the story clear and easy to understand. All in all the story will put you right in that Holiday Spirit!

A Sweet Christmas Story

A chance encounter between neighbouring business operators reunites families and leads to romance in this sweet story about decorating a town for the holidays.
A dog, a couple of Christmas elves and a hearty helping of mistletoe help to make this the kind of sweet Christmas story I just love, and the melodious tones of Stephanie Dillard's voice made it a pleasure to listen to.

Self-Sufficiency meets Team Work!

Noelle is used to doing things on her own. Cole has been raised in a family that helps each other out. Noelle needs help and the best way Cole can think of to help is to ask his family who he hasn't talked to much in a year. Through the Thanksgiving holiday, Noelle learns that maybe she likes team work better than relying on her own.

A sweet and well-written story. The narration fits well with the story and has good pacing. Fun Christmas listen.

Sweet as a Hallmark Christmas Movie!

This book is just bursting with Christmas spirit! I love Christmas time, and this was just the book to get me into holiday spirit. The entire novella reads like a Christmas movie from Hallmark. The narrator was pitch perfect and I love the way that her reading brought the story to life. This book includes: people dressed like Christmas elves, family drama, and a romance between the two protagonists that is as sweet as cup of peppermint hot chocolate. Who knew mistletoe emergencies could be so endearing? If you're looking for a book to help you get in the Christmas spirit, I recommend this short and entertaining read.

Heartwarming!

You never know where love will find you. Pamela Ferguson delves into a the life of Noelle Arber as she takes on the job for her town. She is well acquainted with the local orchard and goes to gather mistletoe bunches to decorate Main Street. In the orchard she meets Cole Higgenbotham, a man who has left his family business to start a new chapter in his life. Cole is tired of the same thing year after year, being part of a unit. He is ready to break away and be on his own, but leaving was not blessed by his family. Now with a problem with the decorations, Cole finds himself reaching out to his family for help and filling his heart with love. If you love stories that fill you up and make you feel good, you will love Noelle and Cole. Noelle seems very innocent, but she is very wise. She is not only smart when it comes to her craft, but she knows what is important in life. Cole is the best kind of man you can find. He is responsive and loving, but what I really found intriguing was his ability to understand what is important in life. I loved this story, and it's a great way to start the holidays!

Narrated by Stephanie Dillard, you will find great voices and a wonderful portrayal of the story. She understands her characters and makes them very realistic. I love her performances.

Opposites Fit Together

I have read/listened to a other Lilac themed stories and each is sweet, entertaining and well written and performed by the narrator.
I tire of the over the top angst, but like some real life struggles..there is a touch of religious, but just a touch so you need not avoid if you don’t like religious books, but if you a bit, this has the right amount.
A loner girl who is independent and unable to seek help when needed meets a man who was seeking some solitude having been raised on a family of ‘all team work’ and little independence.
A short story that doesn’t end with a HEA, but the HFN and real possibilities for more down the line.
Enjoyed this Christmas themed story with wonderful narrator...never get tired of this authors books..no steam but a person needs get a break from that from time to time 😉
