James Patrick Cronin is fabulous as the narrator!

Story line is great but the narrator makes it shine!
Keep 'me coming Ms. Fecteau and Mr. Cronin! Hope it won't be 1 year. *winks*

Good follow up to first book

I love these books, I've listen to them twice now and will keep them in my to be listened to list. Vampires that are snarky, funny and the things that go bump in the night.

Great continuation...

The second book was equally as good as the first. I enjoyed the further adventures of Mathis...and the cast of characters that envelope the protagonist. Though Quinn was not that vast in the story, his presence certainly could be felt. There is just too much I could say, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I really enjoyed this part of the adventure and have already started the next part of the saga.

Compelling characters, comedy & drama

The narration and inner monologue of our main character is funny and fascinating. All of the characters are uniquely written and the reader does a good job of distinguishing them with his voice and cadence.

There is an element of mistery to the characters that holds you as much as the main story. I want to learn more about the characters and see where the story takes them.

This sequel highly exceeds the original book

Pacing is goodand there is a plot. There are a great number of ancillary characters and supporting characters which give the story much more width in filling out the world the main characters are living in. I don't like intimate sex because in reading M/M books because it gets to be boring with constant repetition. In this book the sex takes place out of view of the reader for which I was extremely grateful. If you like werewolves, succubi, and above all vampires this is great series.

Matheus because of his sarcastic humorous wit.

Matheus, and it is very important that James Patrick Cronin continues to narrate the series. He is fantastic.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The most exciting, sarcastically witty and suspenseful vampire movie ever!

Any additional comments?

James Patrick Cronin makes every character come to life in this great series by Amy Fecteau. A great read and a fantastic listen.

You did it again!

Any additional comments?

I just wanted somebody to slap the crap out of Mathis over and over many times but you manage to have him (and the followers) slap himself properly and man up. You added such wonderful humor to this book, Joan has become one my favorite side characters, and Freddy showing up made me shiva' with anticipation, and the cliff hanger at the end only makes for anticipation of the next more delicious. I like the way you are handling the gay sex too...not too much, but just enough. James, narration was superb again. Listener, I say get it if you liked the first one, and get ready to giggle and at times hang on to the edge of your seat...this series has to be heard in order. It is definitely not a stand alone by book series. Worth it if you like something different about vampires.

Real vampires do it in the dark.

A huge thank you to the author for writing these books. I love them, including the the many hours it takes to listen to them on audible. I can get into the story and relax, laugh and cringe with the wonderful characters, i wish i could become a member of there new ragtail commune . I really am looking out for book three to arrive soon, hopefully sometime 2017. Please.

A Quality Second Book in the series

I enjoy the relationships between characters, witty comebacks and various 'foot-in-mouth' occasions by Matt. The main character grows up in this book and takes on more responsibility somewhat against his will. Very much a reluctant hero.
I will definitely be buying the next book in the series - such a major cliffhanger at the end!!!
