Loved it

One of my favorite books. It found a way to grab my attention and through a wonderful journey.

Such a joy

Man oh man i loved this book. Such a heartwarming story, i love the witty type of writing, it felt light and fun. I saw someone else say it has political stuff in i did not find that to be true. Perhaps because i am not American but there was no mention of anything political so i guess it is more of a personal trigger for that person not a literal thing. Anyway lovvved it 🥰

Great apart from pushing a political narrative

If you’re not someone who introduces yourself with pronouns, pushes feminism or are in favour of letting a child choose their own gender, maybe skip this book…

I have loved every book I’ve read from this author. She has an incredible talent for building a connection between the characters and the audience. The story is sweet, heartwarming and funny at times. Unfortunately there were some very unnecessary political moments that added absolutely nothing to the story and could have been kept from the book altogether.

The narrator did an absolutely fantastic job and she was flawless in her execution.

The political views in this book were very disappointing, because I read these books to escape politics. Without them this book would have been a 5 star!

Leave out the politics

In general, this was a very good story, but sadly, the ideological/political undertones soured it a skosh.

Brilliant witty dialogue. And a great narrator!

I love all of Cara Bastone’s recent audiobooks over the last couple of years.
This one had an added level of brilliance because the narrator is so talented! I hope Cara uses Alex Finke again in future books. Either way, I can’t wait for the next story to be published by this author. Her writing is so witty, with wonderful character development and bantering dialogue. Plus emotionally charged and insightful too. Recently, Bastone has been writing my favourite kind of feel good stories.
