Publisher's summary

After the storm comes calm. But for how long?

Fresh from their victory against Olsen’s armies, new challenges await the people of Safe Haven.

Under siege, with fuel running out fast, hard decisions need to be made in order to keep the settlement secure.

But something terrible lies in wait.

Horror. Fear. Pain. They thought they knew the meaning of such words. They were wrong.

Is this the end of the beginning? Or is it the beginning of the end?

Is this the End?

OK, Mr. Artinian, you have done it again! I laughed, I cried, I cursed...I felt every emotion along with my favorite cast of characters.

Most books in the zombie apocalypse genre are all about the blood, guts and zombie killing. This series is truly a work of art in the way that the reader feels like they know the characters and can feel every horrifying event along with them. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I'll just say that after some humorous interactions between some of my favorite characters, our friends in Safe Haven once again face the end of everything.

I am right there with them, looking for the revenge that I know will be coming for one of the worst villains I have encountered in a long time. And, I hope that someday, I will get to read a HEA ending for Mike, Wren, and friends!

Kim Bretton is a truly talented narrator and her voices really bring the characters to life. Her pacing is perfect and I felt every emotion as I listened to this book. Just be sure to have some tissues handy (or a Nerf ball to throw if that's more your style). I had to stop reading a few times in order to compose myself along the way.

Roller Coaster of emotions!

My gosh I could not love these books any more than I do. they are fantastic. the characters seem so real, the conversations are so good, I laugh and cry and worry about these characters every single book.
Christopher Artinian knocks it out of the park with every book. Kim Bretton is so fantastic at narration it blows my mind.

Amazing Horror Story

I was absorbed by book 9 in the "Safe Haven" series. Once I turned on the audiobook, I had to listen until the end. I was entertained by the story. I liked the characters and their continuing growth arcs. Just when one thought that this group of people have met and overcome every obstacle and foe that the author can set against them, he managed to determine something else to disrupt their lives. This story has whetted my curiosity regarding what will happen next. Kim Bretton's narration was outstanding, and her performance added to the story's enjoyment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Has Olson finlly won?

I'm not one to give away spoilers so my lips are sealed. But what the heck Mr. Artinian??? Can these good folks of Safe Haven have just a bit of peace in their home by the sea?? Olson has gone completely mad but she DID get the idea from her fight with the girls. Mayhem, turmoil and heartache abound in this next episode of Safe Haven. Our beloved characters must once again fight for their lives in this never ending world of Rams and evil people. But even with their world falling apart and it seems that all is lost, they cling to a tiny bit of hope. Christopher knows how to keep you holding your breathe as you listen to Kim Bretton read the horrifying actions, bringing it to life in your mind. I hope this duo never stop working together.

Holy I-N-T-E-N-S-E!!!

Raining Blood (Part 1) Safe Haven, Book 9 by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton is quite possibly the best, intense, action-packed book I’ve listened to of Christopher’s. A warning: plan to listen all at once as you might get irritated at other life happenings interrupting your book session. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the series. If you are new to it, start from the beginning.

What’s it about? This one begins now long after the previous devastating events and the effects felt. Mike is struggling with the loss of Lucy and we get to see a side of him we rarely do in the series. The others are trying to help him as best as they can while keeping things running smoothly at Safe Haven. Wren, Robyn, and Mila return from their journey of liberating villages from Olsen’s nefarious grasp and reunited with a still recovering George. Questions arise about PM Beck and his people. And then there’s Olsen...I must hand it to Christopher for knowing how to write the bad seeds. This book gives you glimpses of happiness and hope for those in Safe Haven before more devastation occurs. Nope, not saying specifics, only that most are separated and attempt to make it out alive (some do, some don’t).
I still love Mila and her comments (please don’t off her Christopher, pretty please). There is more of the story to come...

The narrator, Kim Bretton, is brilliant with the narration as per usual. The emotion, intensity in the right places, character voices, and so on make it a enjoyable listen.

I can’t recommend this series enough. It’s my favorite zombie series out there (Safe Haven and EOE) and it could be yours too. What are you waiting for? The zompoc?

“Ja. Und I wish I had Chris Hemsworth bringing me breakfast in bed each morning, but we have neither, so what are we going to do?” Mila replied.
“I thought it was Jason Statham you like.”
“I do. They are fantasies. I do not have to be loyal in my fantasies.”
~~~
“Ah, yes. In chess, this is known as the dummkopf gambit.”
~~
“This is it. It’s all over. It’s checkmate.”
Parental guidance/trigger warnings: I will give the usual due to not wanting to give away any big spoilers...this is the zompoc, so violence, death, nutty people doing horrible things, non-nutty people doing horrible things at times to stay alive, survival situations, zombie assisted suicide, etc. Language used: Sx59, Fx58, Sx1 in German.
I love this series. it also got me into the side stories of The End Of Everything with the sisters. it adds more context and enhances the story. Great title as well. made sense as soon as the events unravel!!!
absolutely tail spinning listen
You expect people to die during a zombie apocalypse book, but as a reader you always hope the good guys make it to the end of the series. Once again, Chris broke my heart and left the story in at an excellent stopping point. I am eagerly awaiting part 2. ♥️
You just had to do it
Loved it I knew from the post that you made in your fan club on Facebook that you did something traumatic I thought the last two safe haven were a roller coaster but what happened hit me in the feels I can't wait till the next few books. Kim is still an amazing narrator and can't wait to listen to her again and hear her emotions as she reads through the next installment.
Shockingly good
I absolutely loved the story. It brings us to where we see Wren, Robin and their grandfather and friends are back in Safe Haven. Things seem to be going well and they are preparing for the attack from Olsen they know is coming. However, no one suspected what actually happened. I was shocked and felt like I was right there with them. Kim does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I can't wait for part two to see how they fare after the latest attack. Will they make it?
