Retired Marine here...

I am always SUPER critical of books that try to portray my beloved Corps... So, I spent 24 years in the Marines with a bunch of time in combat zones, lived all over the world and had a number of different MOS's actually and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel of Marines...so, I have the creds at least to critique. Most books...unless they were written by a Marine...about the Marine Corps...suck. We still need to teach Bray how to pronounce some of the abbreviations.. Like SSgt is Staff Sergeant, and Cpl is Corporal...but for the most part, he did pretty well. Bray, if you ever need a translation of Marine speak...HMU.

BUT FICK.... Holy hell. I had some serious LOL Moments listening to him, then I found the Fickisms compilation.

This was well researched, cannot find if Fuchs had any time in the Gun Club, but he did a pretty darn good job writing about it...so BZ for that.

Made me go find other Arisen titles since this was my first one....

Great listens.

Time flew and the (2) book series was over. Fuchs does a great job with character development and the storyline is believable enough. There are no epic plot twists or mysteries that need solving. There are however, harrowing, nail biting series of combat cliffhangers. Bray is awesome too.

Amazing books and amazing narrator

These two books are truly amazing just like the others! Great story, fantastic narration! The Arisen series and RC Bray are truly amazing! Highly recommend. Best military post apocalyptic stories I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.

A lot of action

Always love RC Brays performance. Fantastic book. Love the camaraderie and dark, gutter humor. Overall good zombie or Zulu 😉 apocalyptic book from a military point of view.

Happy to be back in the Apocalypse!

Listening to R.C.Bray read the brilliant prose of Michael Stephen Fuchs felt like saying hello to old friends. I love being back, and Fick is an absolute delight. If this is your first read in the series, go back and lose yourself in the pipe-hitting military zombie goo of the first books. Like me, you will plead for the return of post-apocalyptic adrenaline!

Raiders Rises against Zombie Hordes

Its always great to read a new MS Fuchs' book (especially when the Audible is read by RC Bray). Fuchs is a master story teller whose writing is well researched and engaging. Arisen Collapsed #1 is another feather in his cap.

I read a lot of indy horror with varying levels of skill in the art of writing. Its refreshing to read something from a highly capable writer who can, and does, spin an intriguing yarn. In the Arisen universe no one is safe and things can always get worse for the main characters. Collapse follows a group of special operations Marines (Raiders), aboard the US JFK aircraft carrier, as they survive and fight back as the zompoc emerges and world order falls.

Well worth the read!! Get some!

Worth the wait....

Was looking forward to these books as a fan of the Arisen series. Absolutely worth the wait and great to be taking on the plague with Gunny Fick again. Well-written and brilliantly narrated.
