Dragons, shifters and drink...

Let the comedy ensue....

Smiling and chuckling the whole time!

Image you're hungry and tried and you simply want food and rest...but that's not how your night goes!

Instead you meet your mate ...and he's a dragon shifter... and he's drunk. 😆😅

With a sense of humor and .... patience, two mates navigate their first meeting with love, care and acceptance.

Michael Fox is absolutely delightful. British, funny and ... dandy! Loved it.

Short and Funny

This book is less than 1 hour long and I don't want to give too much of it away but I will say this book contains the following:

A unknowing dragon shifter mate.
A dragon shifter who gets drunk and shifts that equals a drunken dragon (and come on who doesn't want to read about a drunk dragon?!).
A caption behind on his paperwork.
Soldiers who have no problem shoving their friend and fellow soldier into a locked room with said drunk dragon.
Hilarity.
Sexy times.

5 starts for everything about this audio and love the narrator!

Open the Door

This is a lovely story about fated mates. I enjoyed getting to know these men and seeing how they finally realize that they are meant for each other. The story has a sweet relaxed feel but there is also the rush of fiery passion and shared pleasure.

Kasia Bacon has written another wonderful little gem that fills your head with numerous possibilities but also leaves room for your own imagination to take shape. I love these stories and I look forward to seeing more from this author and this enchanting world she has created.

Michael Fox did an excellent job as narrator and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I received a copy of this audiobook but this is my honest review.

Dragon shifter love

I got this book as free as part of Audible's monthly choices. While paranormal isn't my usual genre, I adored this one. Michael Fox's narration brought you into the author's world. May have to pick up the other books in the series.

Adorable & steamy short

Kasia Bacon leaves me wanting more without making me feel like she failed to write a complete story.

This is a short story in the M/M fantasy romance Orders Universe, yet stands completely on its own. Perfect if you enjoy fated mates and dragon shifters. Entirely from Laahn’s first person perspective, this adorable and steamy short features his meeting with Rago.

Michael Fox’s narration was perfect. He did a great job giving each character a unique voice as well as evoking all the emotions.

Adorable short! XD

Short, smexy and sweet. This is an adorable short with zero angst. Just a very tipsy love struck dragon and a very confused but flattered Lieutenant. I enjoyed reading this when it first came out in December and had to get the audio as well. Michael Fox (no "J") is such a charming narrator, and among my instant buy narrators. :D

Dragon Shifters and alcohol

I loved this novella so much! Rago was pretty adorable as a drunk dragon who just realized who his mate was. And then we get a very angry dragon wanting his mate. This was so cute and sweet. The soldiers basically toss their friend at a drunk dragon and then lock him in to deal with the guy and a captain hasn't done his paperwork yet. The drunk dragon was so adorable and this was a really sweet story of fated mates. Laahn and Rago are a really great couple and I hope to get to see more of their stories. I loved this one so much!

I loved this more than I expected to

I've been meaning to pick up Kasia's books for a while, but after Rago, I'm even more keep to read her work.

I tremendously enjoyed the story. It was funny and I liked the main characters and their interactions. Rago was super cute showing off his dragon form and I laughed at the way he was trying to communicate while in it.

As in many Fantasy stories, the names are Hell to pronounce. I'm glad this is an audio version, because I would've had no clue how to pronounce Laahn.

I appreciate the glossary at the end. If this was an e-book, I would've preferred to have it at the beginning, but in audiobook format, I would've gotten bored if it was the first thing I heard.

There was one thing that I didn't get (but might be explained in the other books set in the Order Universe): how does recognizing your mate work? Because one: Rago had seen Laahn before the day the story takes place, but hadn't reacted to him so strongly sooner, and two: because of the way Laahn reacted to Rago (as if Laahn could also feel the bond between them).

As for the narration: I liked Michael's voice, but he seemed too concerned with proper pronunciation which took away from the emotional delivery. I would've liked a little more depth in his performance.

If you are looking for a light-hearted, funny fantasy romance, check out Rago.

A short but sweet shifter novella

Lieutenant Laahn Cortez has to leave his well-earned supper as the Captain summons him.

Sargent Rago is tipsy and out of control, but some of the army men lock him in the fencing room as he's transformed into his shifter form, a dragon.

Short but sweet with hot sex.

I loved Michael Fox's narration, clean, easy to listen and very pleasant on the ears, I listened at 1.10 speed on Audible.

Stunning! Michael Fox is Marvelous!

As someone just starting to dip into Kasia Bacon's Order Universe, this author has completely captivated me with her creative fantasy stories. Stunning descriptions of the physical combined with sensual and erotic romance, make even the shortest stories come to life in the most enjoyable way.

The audio version of Rago is performed by Michael Fox. A marvelous fit for these characters, Mr. Fox's smooth, rich voice captures every bit of emotion and makes the most of Ms. Bacon's clever sense of humor.

I hope every one of Kasia Bacon's books come out in audio sooner rather than later, but in the meantime I'm jumping in with both feet!

Rich fated mates novella leaves you wanting more..

A dragon shifter meets his fated mate and must be soothed... chaos breaks out at an army outpost when a dragon shifter becomes aware that his fated mate is nearby... this novella is rich in atmosphere and offers a wonderful glimpse of this first meeting between fated mates... after a short time in their company you wish it were a novel. Somehow it seems there is an economy of communication throughout this story -- a hand on a shoulder or the crook of an eyebrow here expresses volumes, and you just want more and more. I loved it.

Such a perfect little bite of shifter goodness...

5 Stars!

I'm a huge Kasia Bacon fan and this book is just another reason why. She's the queen of short stories that despite their length actually feel complete and while satisfying, they leave you wanting more of this fantastic world she's created and the amazing characters we find in them.

In this case, we met Rago, the dragon and his mate, Laahn, who were just adorable and funny and so very hot together. I loved the whole fated mated/forced proximity tropes Ms. Bacon explored.

This was just a perfect bite of shifter goodness and a great listen. Michael Fox's voice and his British accent are delicious and did justice to Rago, Laahn and Kasia Bacon's exquisite writing. Definitely recommendable!

Dream come true!

A black haired, green eyed, muscly dragon shifter. How can you go wrong. Not as much detail about the Order Universe in this one but doing what Kasia does best with starting a new relationship in which you’re left wanting more. ‘You teach me chess and I’ll take you flying’. Yes please!!!!! I need to learn fencing, and chess ASAP.

Short, funny and sweet. Love this world :)

For a short story, it packs quite a bit. Laahan, poor soul, doesn't get to eat his dinner (which sounded delicious). Instead he's summoned to help out with an unruly person. What transpires is a story of mates meeting and bonding in the sweetest, and sometimes funny, way. Rago and Laahan are a delight.
Michael Fox is really good, I really enjoyed listening to his narration and happy to see that he's done some of her other stories, yay!

Perfect little escape

Kasia Bacon manages to write a short story that's both sweet and sexy at the same time and even throws in some humor as well. Laahn and and Rago are perfect together, but of course they are, they're fated mates! I loved how Laahn just went all in and accepted that he was the fated mate of a dragon shifter, and was happy about it, even though they hardly knew each other at first.

This story is perfect for a quick listen on the go or as a palate cleanser between longer reads. I still wish that it was longer though, or that there will be another short story about this couple in the futue. You do not need to have read any other books in the Order series to enjoy this one, it's a complete stand-alone.

Michael Fox's narrration was very pleasant to listen to and added an extra dimention to the story.

Another great short

“Dragon shifters produce deep loud sounds in a wide range of pitch thanks to their long heavily muscled larynxes and unbroken fleshy vocal cords. The roars of a dragon shifter in distress, and in particular when separated from their mate, travel up to several thousand paces and can be described as blood-curdling. Dragon shifters may be extremely dangerous when experiencing separation anxiety. Save their mate, parents, or a skilled mage with a death wish, it is not advisable for anyone to approach them in such circumstances.”

Okay, with a beginning like that, how could I not be pulled right in?

The last audiobook I listened to was seventeen hours. Seventeen good hours, to be sure, but it was a tough slog. Rago came along at the perfect time. Something short to perk me up. Something to allow me to dive back into Ms. Bacon’s Order Universe. I always have great respect for authors who spend so much time world-building. She always takes me away to another time and place. Might not be the happiest of places, but it is somewhere other than here, and that’s a good thing.

I kind of have a thing for dragon shifters and was happy this one found his fated mate. And Laahn, that mate, seemed pretty pleased about it. This is a short listen that was fun and well worth my time. As always, Michael Fox narrated the story and he did a lovely job. He is perfectly suited for these stories. I look forward to more in the future.

Lovely little gem of a tale

Loved this story when I read it - and now I love Michael’s narration of it too. Sweet and funny. Great characters. Hope Kasia treats us to more of them.
