Publisher's Summary

All Callyn thought about was surviving each day and making it through senior year. All that changed the day she met her four mates. Zeke, Graydon, Lucian, and Maximus gave her something else she desperately needed...hope. After barely surviving at the hands of her abusive father, Callyn learns something about herself. She is shifter royalty and the next Alpha Queen.

With her father in jail and her aunt on her way to Camden Falls, Callyn hopes that she can lead some sort of normal life. She quickly realizes that's not going to be the case. Callyn doesn't just have Kelsey to contend with but new threats as well. Add on to that, she still needs to learn what it means to be Alpha Queen.

Let's not forget, she can't shift...yet. The boys are also learning more about themselves and their new abilities. As Callyn and the boys learn to navigate their new lives, they still have the biggest threat of all to worry about...war. Things are set into motion and the threats are real.

As Callyn and her mates grow closer, their bond grows stronger. They will need each other to overcome their enemies.

Contains mature themes.

Plea for book 3

I normally don’t take the time to write a review (and I go through a ton of audio books) but the female narrator is so terrible I had to. I’m not sure if the reviews are only for listeners but if the audio book publisher or the author reads the reviews... Please only use Joe Hempel for book 3 or recast the female role. I cannot get through another book with such a bad female voice actor.

narrator

she is by far the hardest Narrator to listen to. Her way of ending sentences is so annoying.

Great story

I love the story and can't wait for the next book to come out on audible. My only complaint is the female narrator....can we please get someone else? She makes it painful to listen to the story and it's very distracting.

Meh

Story was great! Performance was terrible. Monotone, weird pauses, and the same "voice" for every character. If I didn't have a thing about leaving stories unfinished, I would never have bought this audible.

only giving 1 stars because you can't give 0

This book is un-listenable… the performance is infuriatingly annoying and the story is badly written

Heroine is a little stupid

It seems the reason the heroine is the queen is only due to bloodlines. She didn't earn being queen due to stellar intelligence and leadership potential. Her mates are not very intelligent or even consistently protective, and all authority figures are either useless or evil. It's all a bit frustrating.

Story 10, narrator 2

Love the premise of this story. Did not like the way the female narrator spoke(read). Every sentence was read the exact same. Liked her voice, just not the way she read. Had a hard time getting into the story because of it.

Having four mates, makes me feel dirty but some how loving the thought of having four different types of guys love me forever! Good book, slowly builds up.

Amazing Storyline!!

I loved this book! I got caught up in the emotions of this book instantly, I lost the number of times that I said while reading the book ‘I’m going to kill them’. In this book, there is a lot more kissing, which I love. I swear, I live vicariously through books and love it, with the romance and passion shown in this, it is easy to fall for all the amazing characters. In this novel, Callyn starts to stand up for herself and become more independent now that her father is no longer able to touch her, and while reading, I supported that completely. The storyline continued on amazingly and the romance and passion was turned up to another level. Who doesn’t like the sound of that? Only kissing though, which was a bit disappointing but fine due to all the other passion shown in it. I give this book full marks, it was amazing! I loved it!!!
