Publisher's Summary

A groundbreaking exploration of how psychedelics and quantum science are vital to understanding the evolution of consciousness and reality.

  • Explains why altered states of consciousness exist, how they work, and why psychedelics have the effects that they do
  • Describes how quantum waves, rather than the DNA molecule, have been the driving force behind biological and historical evolution
  • Explains how psychedelics interact with the human mind to create altered states that may further the continued evolution of consciousness

In this groundbreaking audiobook, Carl Johan Calleman reveals the quantum science of the Maya, a science lost to the modern world that explains the phenomenology of psychedelics and altered states of consciousness. The ancient Maya had a sophisticated understanding of the multidimensional nature of reality and the forces that drive the evolution of consciousness. Calleman explains how quantum waves, illustrated by the Mayan Calendar, emanate from the center of the universe and activate new phases in the evolution of consciousness through holographic resonance, which alters the dualities of the human mind. For example, the Fifth Wave, which dominated in Paleolithic times and evolved human consciousness above that of animals, brought a chaotic floating state reminiscent of the psychedelic or shamanic state, and the recent Eighth Wave brought the digital revolution. The Ninth Wave, which began in 2011, offers the potential for individual development of higher consciousness and healing if we can synchronize ourselves with its positive holograms.

This multidimensional perspective explains why altered states of consciousness exist and how they work. Calleman describes the role of the pineal gland for the human mind, how it controls our state of consciousness and how it can connect us to the cosmic Tree of Life. He shows that the mind is a “reducing valve” that normally limits our experience of cosmic consciousness but that this can be reversed through altered states. As Calleman concludes, psychedelics like ayahuasca and DMT not only give rise to extraordinary mystical and cosmic experiences and enable access to healing states, but they also are important for harmoniously synchronizing humanity with the Ninth Wave to further the evolution of consciousness.

Not at all what the cover says.

The book tells you it will get to the subject at hand in the later chapters but it rambles on about things I have no interest or belief in.

interesting perspectives

Interesting perspectives on human evolution, the mind and consciousness based on the author's interpretation and understanding of the Mayan calendar and culture. Novel theories of consciousness waves and brain waves and how they play a role in human consciousness and our place in the universe.

Disappointed

First I'd like to say I'm a proponent of psychedelics with keen interest in astronomy and physics, so this book naturally interested me and I went in with an open mind. Unfortunately, it just made me pose many more questions than it attempted to answer.

Convoluted with little elaboration.
So many claims and "logical" implications made and supported by nothing but his opinion, never elaborated as to exactly how and why he comes to those conclusions and which data exactly correlates with it and which opposes it.
Nothing scientific in his selective comparison methods that take into consideration only what supports his narrative.

I wouldn't mind a spiritual book that touches on some science that supports it and leaves it as that, but this is presented like a thought out, scientifically supported model of the world we live in.

Disappointment and frustration is all I got going through this one. I hope this is nobody's first book of this subject, as it might deter them from dwelving into the subjects more.

Sorry to be the first one and give a bad review.

Dreadful

Extremely disappointing. Lots of fkimsy suppositions, very little scientific backup and a narration that sounds like a ten year old who's never seen most of the words before.

Not so enlightening

Too much "wave," too much emphasis on the Maya..
Had to speed up narration, as it felt slow and poorly recorded.
Overall, it reached the "shall I return it?" point, and narrowly scraped through.

The Cosmic Narrative Modern Civilisation Needs

This book resonates on both the intellectual and the intuitive levels. Title may be perhaps misleading as the book’s primary aim is to present a theory of Macrocosmic Quantum Science (through which we can better understand psychedelics, amongst other phenomena). Wish the narrator hadn’t repeated (“available in the supplementary PDFs”) after every reference, as many of the sentences are already long-winded enough as it is! But overall an amazing perspective being presented here and one which illuminates much of my own experience- as well as helps to develop my own views further. Well thought out and eloquently delivered using a vast array of supporting material.
