Publisher's summary

Overpowered villains. Higher stakes. A pyramid of lies.

A year has passed since the events that nearly brought the game Carpe Noctem crashing down. Now, just as things are beginning to get back to normal, a new threat emerges.

When an unkillable player attempts to take over the virtual world, Max and Kira are called in to take him down. To win, the party will have to form their own house, infiltrate a tropical palace, pull off an elaborate heist, and maybe do a little dancing.

With enemies old and new lurking around every corner, it will take every bit of teamwork and creativity the party has to get away clean. Because in this game of PVP, their lives may depend on it.

Pixel Dust has been and remains a favorite

Pixel Dust, book 1 was one of the first books in this genre that I read, and I've been looking forward to the sequels since. David Petrie has built some of the most diverse characters in LitRPG and it makes for an incredible story. This book picks up a bit after Max and Kira-Bell continue to be a great duo and Farnes and Ginger really round out the story. I loved the progression, and can't wait for book 3.

Just as enjoyable as the first one!

Really enjoying the series and excited to see where it is next going! it was fun seeing a heist plot in a video game mostly with guys that are completely clueless and probably would react exactly as I would in a heist! Will definitely be reading the next one!

Grand heist!

I love this follow up to Party Hard. In this book the party is tasked with pulling off a grand heist to save the game they love. I felt the experience was as good as or better than watching some of the heist movies out there. Numerous genuine LOL moments. Cool fight scenes. New abilities. Strange new characters. Of course, there is also more awkward love triangle. I can't wait for the next one. A few mispronounced words made it to the final cut, but I've listened to books with far worse and more numerous in them.

Just as good as the first!

I would recommend this to anyone who reads the litrpg genre! Even from the first book I love the idea of going to sleep but really you’re playing a game. This story beginning to the end was well written and Max is still a bad*** with a new item!

I need moar!

It has a excellent character development, story, friendship, and comedy. The battle scenes are vivid and world setting is very creative. The ending for the first two books has been great.

Heist!

Excellent story and character progression. Skillful escalation of the plot both in and out of game. Definitely left me wanting more. Thank goodness I already have the next book!

Fantastic!

Firstly, just want to mention that this book was given to me in a giveaway (although I did have to go pickup the first book in the series on my own), but this is an unbiased review.

As a lover of GameLit, this book was amazing. David Petrie has outdone himself with a concept of how the game could affect the real world (which on a personal note is usually my biggest issue with some gamelit books). The characters are fun and I can't wait to pickup the next book!

Sequel measures up!

Great 2nd installment in this series! Everything meshes together so nicely; the story line, the character arcs, the main character group development and new characters, new environments in the world, just amazing immersive work! I pre-ordered the next installment same day I finished pyramid game.

Brilliant

Incredible series, amazing story, definitely different to the standard for the genre but that is refreshing, very easy to get along with the main characters, something for everybody. Download, you won’t be disappointed.

Great story but for some reason I can't get intoit

this is a great heist story and all the characters are amazing but one thing bugs me and its that the first book set up this amazing best friend relationship and group of friends that bounce off each other but all this forcing romance just kills the group dynamic and it just spoils the book for me which is really frustrating as otherwise I would of loved this type of book I'm going to get the next one in the hope that it all sorts its self out but my hype has been dulled

Even better than book 1

Loved this book, I bought book 1 and was hooked, luckily I won a competition and got book 2 for free. Buying book 3 for sure!!

The characters are great, plot twists and turns and it’s a really enjoyable vibrant book. Recommend!
