Publisher's summary

Even the rain cannot extinguish all the fires now burning throughout Neon.

With Deke Allinson on their tail and Annora more exposed then she has ever been, can Elissa hold it together long enough to reach safety? Or, is the fire burning all around her a reflection of her own desire for revenge?

There's talk on the street, too. The authority have rounded up the remaining protesters and mean to make an example out of them. However things end, one thing is for sure - it will never be the same again.

A dystopian cyberpunk adventure inside a vast city dome, Purge of Deceit is the closing book in the Neon City trilogy. What cost is freedom?

Excellent series finale.

This final story in the Neon City trilogy was bittersweet, over the previous five books related to Neon City I became invested in these characters and seeing how things would work out for them. Without providing any spoilers I’ll just say the finally provided a sense of satisfaction, and a desire to see a spinoff series with a few of the characters. Once again Steven Smith’s narration brought the story to life. I received a review copy through StoryOrigion and chose to provide this review.

I’m hooked on this ongoing storyline

Purge of Deceit: The Neon City Trilogy (Neon #6), my seventh read from author Adam J. Smith in the last six weeks, I’m hooked on this ongoing storyline. 6-hours 3-minutes/275-pages, somewhat longer than the earlier books which is good when reading a good story.. Steven Miller's narration adds to a very good book's excellence. I look forward to more from this author and in this series. The Finale

It's Calix, Annora and comrades vs. Deke and The Authority. After Calix burns down Lowtown with a grave loss of innocent life, who is really in the right? Still this is a fight for Freedom and it won't be easily won. I found this final book in the series harder to follow and a bit discordant, but it is another blockbuster for Smith.

Waited a long time for such a Science fiction.

Adam J. Smith started with a trilogy then continued with another trilogy crating a masterpiece of a science fiction series or maybe just maybe a prophecy of our future.
Just think about it, we know that our deserts used to be oceans and now with over population and greenhouse effects things might end up just like they have in this amazing story !

Steven Miller perfect narration completed packaging this awesome series into audio.

Absolutely,
without a doubt,
fully recommended !

"The future is In my hands."

Author Adam I Smith splashes his text with colour, bringing everything vividly to life, from the bright yellow of the sands, blue skies and fire racing through Lowtown as it gets out of control, killing thousands. Similarly, Neon City itself is drawn in powerful strokes, the tall tower looking out, but much more sombre, itself a character along with the human protagonists caught in this story. The last of a trilogy, this is not a stand alone but builds on what has gone before. And with this culmination comes a satisfying solution - for now.

This series has been one both mysterious and straightforward. The characters are sound, they come alive and, for this reader, they will be missed now the series has ended. There are surprises, Smith not afraid to kill a protagonist if it suits the story, and the story itself reveals a clearly worrying world but through the eyes of individuals, not laid out for the reader to simple swallow at one gulp. Easy to reead, less easy to absorb. And absolutely marvellous.

Narration by Steven Miller is well performed, adding to the overall enjoyment. This has been a series that improved as is continued, drawing in the reader to its world. Recommended for any S.F. aficionado. This is a story in which to delight.
My thanks to Story Origin, from whom I received a freely gifted complimentary copy of Purge of Deceit, at my request.
