Perfect Puppy Training !

I learned something here, i liked how you use a puppy pad that looks like grass,Never use a crate for punishment,Never push their face in the waste product. Feeding them and relieving them soon after. Do not give them coconut water. Basic commands is covered and which breed to pick?

I feel fully prepared for a new puppy!

I'll admit, I'm kind of scared of getting a new puppy. I've never been in charge of a baby before. lol. So, I got this book, and I feel way more more confident! I love the step-by-step help as well as the insights about why puppies do the things they do. Would recommend!!

Very useful tips, it's like a course

Many useful tips and information packed in under 90 minutes, it's almost like a training course for puppy training, you'll learn tips for when you bring your puppy home, and potty training tips. Great narration too.

Good refresher

My wife and I have always had dogs, but after we lose one as they get old and pass we take a break for a few years until we are ready to have a new family member. We begin to miss the welcome home we get and the general companionship. So whenever we get a new puppy we like to brush up on everything we need to know about having a new puppy. Even though we have always had dogs, It has usually been 12 -14 years since we have had a "puppy". And every dog is different. This book is laid out in an easy-to-understand manner that we appreciated. It's a good checklist for a first-time puppy owner or even people that have been without a fur baby for a few years. Puppies need to start out on the right foot if they are going to develop into the kind of companion you will enjoy having around for several years. This book covers everything you need to know to make sure you are starting out welcoming a new puppy in a way that will not only teach them what they need to know but teach the owners how to properly consider the puppy's needs as they grow. Excellent refresher for my family. Love the narrator's voice as well.

I feel prepared

I got my dog as a puppy 10 years ago and I remember potty training was a nightmare. I've been wanting to get a second dog but realized that I needed to find some resources for potty training and puppy training in general. This book presents a quite a few ideas that I had not thought of previously and even highlighted some of the things that I did incorrectly last time. Thank you Helen for helping me with this, as I feel more ready to assume ownership of my new puppy! So Excited!

Amazing information to prepare!

I figured I'd know everything within this book as I've had several puppies, but it's been so long since I've gone through breaking in a new puppy I was actually surprised at how much I had forgotten.

The commands chapter really made me realize how much work it's going to be to teach those simple things, but it's also exciting thinking of teaching a new little member of the family all of the fun stuff. Definitely my favorite chapter of the book.

ALSO - this is a wonderful resource that helped our kiddos realize how much work goes into getting a puppy. They always think it's just a cakewalk, and parents saying that it's not easy somehow doesn't resonate. Hearing all of the things to think about to make sure that the puppy is taken care of properly gave them a new perspective.

Helpful for the beginning.

Some of us could’ve used this before all the messes. Lol. Very helpful guide here. If you’re new to pet keeping this is a great start. It has covered all aspects from the first day at home, how to assimilate them to the house, and great ideas from start to finish.

The go-to manual for new dog parents!

This audiobook was filled with interesting and highly relevant information. The content is laid out in a simple yet effective way; it is very straight-to-the-point, without fluff. I found this refreshing as I don't have much time to waste on impertinent details - let's face it, who does?! I learned a lot of invaluable information including simple medical tips, many behavioural cues to be aware of and how to approach certain behaviours to get the best outcomes. Being a puppy parent is such a big responsibility, so I'm grateful I came across this book to help me help my pup.

Really works!!

Bought this as our roommate had decided to get a puppy, but all the roommates including myself agreed to help take care of it. It was a golden retriever puppy, and knew we wanted to start building training habits early but weren't exactly sure how. Bought this audiobook and it has truly provided guidance for every angle we could possibly consider, and more! It breaks down the puppy's learning process, how to enforce training guidelines, and strategies for working with the puppy if you encounter challenges.

So far we have been applying the techniques successfully, and we're optimistic that by the end he will be appropriately house broken, with a foundation for behavior in the house he will know to follow for the rest of his life. The narrator is even toned and easy to listen to, and the author obviously has a ton of experience in the topic.

Something for every dog owner.

I have done some of the tips that are given in this audiobook and all of them that I have done worked! Great advice to have a great obedient dog!
