Puppies are like babies - they do not have developed bowel and bladder control and can’t “hold it” as long as an adult dog.

I love this book. It is a simple, quick read and has very specific, practical instructions for training a pup using positive reinforcement. I’ve read a lot of other books that focus more on general principles of dog training, but I love that this book tells you exactly what to do, step by step. The puppy stage is so important for shaping behavior, and this book makes me feel more confident and prepared.
