Publisher's Summary

He can protect her...but only if he can earn her trust first....

Artist Harper Katz was in the wrong place at the wrong time and heard something she really shouldn't have. Now, she's on the run with a killer on her trail. Her only option is to lay low until she can get out of the country. She can't afford to trust anyone - no matter how much she wishes she could.

Ex-Delta Force Operator Ridge Hansen has had a thing for Harper for a long time. So has his tactical K9, Zeus. But persuading Harper to move their relationship from friends to lovers has been tough. He'll still protect her from...whoever is after her. All he has to do is convince Harper to let him.

Ridge will have to use every skill and protective instinct he has to keep the woman of his dreams alive. He can only hope it'll be enough to get them both safely to happily ever after....

Infomercials with a small plot thrown in

When I read the title and description I expected a romantic suspense book. Instead The little romance and plot that tried to surface was continuously shot down with irrelevant, awkward and tediously long bouts of lessons. The lessons were everything from environmental issues to color psychology. Then one had to deal with the torturous amount of time/pages given to a side character, Berlin. Oh my God if I heard “Bounce, bounce” one more time! ( The narrator alluding to the fact that Berlin was jumping while not wearing a bra the entire book.). Not what was advertised. No action, no suspense and just a lot of getting talked at about a whole lot of disconnected issues and studies. Color my grey for disappointed.

Great story and performance

Fiona Quinn's books are always enjoyable, because not only do they have wonderful characters and a great story, they always have something to learn and insight into human behavior. I love this series with the K9s. She gives them such depth. The mix of suspense, action, K-9s, and romance is great. Aiden Snow is one of my very favorite performers. His performance of this book is great. And for me the happy endings are a must. This is an audible I will return to many times.

Could have been so great

This book had SO much potential. I loved the idea and I even loved Ridge and Harper. What I didn’t love is that absolutely nothing happened. This book was advertised as a romance…how? There is very little romance and even less action. I found myself still waiting for the story to start at chapter 25. The philosophy lesson were interesting at first but then became pretentious. Really disappointed, I think I could have loved this book but it truly missed the mark. The author does have a way with words however and while I feel it lacks plot the book is well written.

Fantastic Story

I needed a story like this! It was full of intrigue, humor, sexy narration. I loved everything about listening to this book.

The characters were well developed. The was a backstory that didn’t get boring. I loved the depiction of the vapid influencer! “Bounce, bounce!” I’ll be looking into more of this series!

Details Details

A suspenseful story, good characters, and really fascinating information about color and psychology in art (the heroine is an artist). Love those fine details, and appreciate the research that goes into making three dimensional characters.

Bana"to much physics Power crap"

Had a good plot, good characters. But way to much use of physics powers to fill in the lacking of story line.
