Publisher's Summary

Wolf and his fellow SEAL team members have saved many lives, and been in even more harrowing situations, but their latest mission might prove the most difficult of all. Charged with rescuing American soldier, Sergeant Penelope Turner, from the clutches of ISIS, the men infiltrate the refugee camp where she's believed to be held. The conditions are horrific, the search nearly impossible, but Penelope herself could prove the key to their success...if the SEALs can interpret her clues.

An unforgiving desert, perilous mountain terrain, a rising body count and insurgents on the hunt...all of this and more stands between the SEALs completing their mission and returning home to their women, left to bravely deal with fears of their own stateside.

Sometimes, a mission is more than one team can handle. With a little help from newfound friends, the SEALS won't stop until they've won the day. Failure is not an option.

Protecting the Future is the eighth and final book in the SEAL of Protection Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Great end to an amazing series

Where does Protecting the Future rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's one of my favorites

What did you like best about this story?

How much the women helped each other at home while their men where away. I also loved how badass Penelope was.

What does Stella Bloom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brought the characters to life for me.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Outstanding courage

Any additional comments?

I both read the kindle version and listened to the audio version on this book. This was an amazing conclusion to an awesome series. At times I was almost in tears reading/listening to this book as it was so real to me. I actually started out listening to the audio version but I couldn't wait to finish the story so ending up reading it on my kindle so I could find out what happened. Then I finished listening to it on audio. I love how she ended this series. I was saving this for when I could have both the audio and the kindle version as I started this series on audio and wanted to end it that way. I'm sad that I won't have any more new stories from this amazing group that Susan has created for us but hope to see them again in other stories she writes for us. I'm so glad I was introduced to this authors books as she has quickly become one of my favorites. She is one that writes a story that grabs you on page one and doesn't let you go till your are finished with the last page.

Good story but very graphic

I really enjoy the stories of the Seals and their outstanding women. Unfortunately they’re so graphic through out the entire story. It’s difficult to get through.

Solid series, great author

Loving this series. Totally worth the credit. Lots of action and great romance. Stoker's leads are smart, sassy women and hot sweet alpha males.

Great follow up

Great story to let you know what the team and their families are up to with plenty of suspense to keep you on your toes. Honestly I was glad I'd read the other series so I had a vague knowledge of what happened, otherwise I would've been on pins and needles.

I need more than 5 stars for this book!

What a mix of action, courage, love and friendship! It was thrilling to have to take breaks because of the anticipation and yet not wanting to ever stop listening.

A good story but...

This is a good author overall but there were 2 parts she wrote for sensationalism and it was annoying. One was when the nurse came to tell the friends how Cheyenne was doing and the other was when the other team found the first and one guy grabbed Penelope. Both were mishandled by the author.

Meh

I've enjoyed the SoP series, but found this underwhelming. The SEAL mission was quite enjoyable, but I didn't really see the point of this book. The events back home were dull and by the time I was halfway through, I'd started skipping through those chapters. Usually I want short stories to be longer, but PtF would have been better as a novella.

mission mission mission yay

loved this one. I believe it will keep the people like me..the mission based listeners happy as well as the romantic with the chapters skipping from wives to seals.
just so enjoy the mixture. some of these books were more about relationships than missions and they were ok but not great. best one is cookie and Fiona and this one....great ending of any loose ends. thankful Ms Stoker...
