lots of twists and turns

Great story and character development with lots of twists. Enjoyed the narrators who brought the story to life.

Surprisingly good!

I was honestly expecting a bit of fluff but it had a great story, surprising twists and I absolutely am shocked I really enjoyed it! The narrator was good but I think it would have been better with a male narrator too.

Not my normal read but exceptionally amazing.

When I started this book and heard the flashback to 1940 I was sure this wasn't going to be for me. I'm so glad I kept going! This was a great book with wonderful character building, it had so much depth. The stories intertwined seemlessly. It was heart-breaking but still heart-warming with a great twist and an even better ending. I can't wait to read more from Cynthia Eden, she definitely has a new fan.

suspenseful and sexy and frustrating

Like most suspense they keep it going with stupidity and emotional decisions and this is no different. they even risk others because they are so clueless. the romance though is sweet and intense and sexy.

Great story but narration needs work

Love the suspense in this one. First book I have read from this author and I think they did a great job at keeping you guessing of who the bad guy was. Sweet how a simple childhood misunderstandings delayed the love these two had for each other.

The downside, the narration felt off. Even though the narrator has a lovely voice and had some inflection, their voice it still felt monotone. Made me feel like they were reading a college text book rather than a story.. I favor narratives that are a bit more lively.
