Publisher's Summary

Amara's life changed the moment she was attacked by a group of wolves. She was only 15 at the time. Who could blame her for ignoring her grandfather's warnings? She quickly began to believe all those stories he told her about the wolves who protected their town Strathford. The wolves who could turn into humans. Shifters, as she learned they were called.

Ten years had passed since then, and Nova still couldn't forgive himself for letting the Valley Clan slip into their territory unnoticed. If only he had been there in time. Since that day, he made a vow to himself to protect her, no matter what happens. Though he didn't personally know Amara, he felt a connection to her after watching over her all these years. With his curiosity growing each day, he finally decided to visit her at work. He'd talk to her for an hour, settle his curiosity, and then never speak to her again. Or so he thought...

Content Warning: This book contains lots of sexy shifter action. Intended for a mature audience only "

Thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining Audiobook!!!!

Protected by the Mountain Wolf by Emilia Hartley was a heart-warming Audiobook story of love, devotion, and forbidden love!!! It’s the story of Amara and Nova. He’s the second in command in his pack. Years ago he saved a human and has secretly loved her ever since. Now, years later, they meet up again. But, now her life is in danger again….and he is forbidden to tell her anything.

I’m a huge fan of Emilia Hartley’s stories….but, this is the first one I’d listened to in an Audiobook format. Her stories are deeply intense and emotional. This one was no different!!!

I’ll be the first to admit that I am VERY demanding of narrators, expecting a lot. This narration, by Celina Saucedo, was an exceptionally good performance!!! She brought the characters depth, emotion, and believability. There were very few errors in pronunciation and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! She brought a wonderful depth to the story.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

Protective

I enjoyed it. It's a basic shifter romance. What I enjoyed is how the male lead fell I love with the female lead. I also enjoyed how she became a stronger woman because of a tragedy that happened when she was younger.

When it comes to the narrator, she did a good job. She was ankle to portray both characters. She pronounced several words incorrectly but for the most part had good male and female voices and provided the correct tempo through the story.

Interesting

This was certainly an interesting start to the new series. I can’t wait to see where this is going and how the story will develop from here.
