I'm reserving judgment.
this was a pretty good book with a great story the main character is kind of stupid and even though it says romance don't expect a lot of romance from it there will be no sex scenes there will be possibly one time where the main character makes out with her love interest and the main character who grew up in the foster care system and learned how to be a criminal from it is apparently an idiot. That's not to say that she's not street smart I just don't understand why she doesn't use those street-smarts to come to certain conclusions about other characters in the stories that are obvious to me as the reader and honestly I just wish that there was an actual sex scene in this book but at least the book is a semi action romance instead of just a romance cuz the action takes care of the slow build we should know that I can keep to the story pretty good first book can't wait to read the next one.

Amazing and i didnt want the book to end
Loved it an cant wait to listen to the next one. I bought this book on whim and at first i wasnt quite sure what i thought about it, but then i started to fall in love with the characters and it felt like i was there feeling what the characters felt.. I didnt want the book to end....l

Don't waste your money or credits
I have started and stop listening 3 times and can't finish it. Briar is too stupid to live and wants to be a badass however comes off more petulant child. I know the author is trying to write an empowered female book, unfortunately failed. Women's strengths lay in intelligent (which the MC has none), strategic planning (once again the MC...nope) and manipulation. The mc has no redeeming characteristics.
It has become impossible to find a good book series. Have money willing to spend on good books!!
