Publisher's summary

Warning: The blurb below contains spoilers for the first book in the series. If you haven't started the series yet, begin with Pretty Dark Vows.

They lied to me. They used me. They almost broke me. But I won’t let them win.

I should have known better than to trust the Reapers. Should’ve known better than to let myself feel anything for them.

Beneath their possessive kisses and stolen moments lurked a dark secret—one that changes everything.

And the worst part is, even though I hate Maddoc, Dante, and Logan, I still need them.

Because my sister is in so much more danger than I thought.

And they’re the only ones who can help me save her.

This is the second book in the Ruthless Hearts series, a new adult romance. It contains steam, violence, and dark subject matter. Please download at your own discretion.

Dual narration and a story which makes you hold your breath

This book was everything that I didn’t know I needed.
I was hesitant while I finished the first book, this book delivered what was expected.
And obviously there is a cliffhanger which took my heart away.
What a journey for (and with) Riley and her men.

I am completely in love with Logan. That raw, scarred, tortured, endearing character is perfectly described. You fear him, you understand him and suddenly he is under your skin. It is a dual narration.
Lia Holland / CJ Grey made a really good job with all the characters.

Finished in One Day

I didn't even let the end credits complete on book one before getting book 2. I just finished this, and now I'm impatiently waiting for book 3 to be recorded 😩 I love each of the men and the different dynamic between them and Riley. The spicy is 🤌🏻 I so desperately what a HEA for them. They've all got a different level of brokenness, and they deserve each other 🖤

SCREAM OUT LOUD PLOT TWIST!

NOTE: I binged listened to this book overnight. I'm tired AF!

WELL DONE CALLIE ROSE. No way I could have predicted the ending. I was so excited by the plot twists and surprise appearances by THE SIX. The scenes are steamy. My only complaint is that I I think this book is too long --- 50 chapters could have been accomplished in 40 chapters --- but I get it. Looking forward to Part 3.

not worth the credit

I wasn't overly excited about book 1, but decided to keep going and I wish I had saved my credit because book 2 was worse and drawn out so badly with little actual storyline. I have 4hrs left to go and I just couldn't finish it. I highly recommend you read the filthy twisted psychos series by Eva Ashwood if you want something similar that's worth listening to. this is like a terrible copy of that series in my personal opinion. I really wish this series was better than what it turned out to be.

Good storyline...not the biggest fan of the FMC

I honestly think this storyline is very good. I also really like all the MMC's. They all have different and interesting personalities and I like their reactions to things. However, the FMC is a complete idiot and I don't at all see anything special about her that would stand out and make these guys like her at all. Other than the fact that maybe she's got a nice body being a str*pper. Her reaction to everything is so dumb, the thoughts supposedly in her head and her physical response to every situation is just stupid. I also really don't like how she can't seem to complete her thoughts or sentences; that writing style is annoying. Everytime she goes to say something it's like "I have to..." "I need...", but she never finishes the sentences and it just makes her sound like a bimbo that can't complete a thought. I really wish she had been written better; she's honestly hard to even read about. These MMC's deserved a strong, feisty, smart FMC, not a weak, annoying, liability that contributes nothing other than issues to the group.

The male narration is good; the female sounds a little robotic again, but it doesn't annoy me enough not to want to listen. Although the FMC annoys me to no end, I'm still anticipating the 3rd book being an audiobook because I'm invested and want to know what happens. I feel if I read it I'll struggle to finish it because the FMC annoys me too much, so if I listen to it it'll be easier.
