Publisher's Summary

Four Women. Four Confessions. One Murder.

Something has gone terribly wrong at the Banks wedding. A man is dead. Four different women rush to offer confessions, each insisting that they committed the crime - alone. Ginger is holding her family together by a thread, and this wedding weekend is not the fabulous getaway she anticipated.

Kate has enough money to buy her way out of anything. Well, almost anything. Emily can't shake her reputation or her memories, and she's planning to drown this whole vacation in a bottle.

Lulu's got ex-husbands to spare, and another on the way - as soon as she figures out what the devil the current husband is up to behind her back.

Why would they confess to the same murder? Only they know - and they're not telling. This pause-resisting novel explores the depths of friendship and the truths we love to ignore.

Not a believable story

The dialogue was terrible! Unbelievable and very overblown.
Characters were not close to being real people.
So many adjectives were used, it was hard to remember what the scene was about.

such a lovely book about friendship

Great characters, all the women were truly uniquely different. You would enjoy this if you like books about friendship, motherhood challenges. Not really a mystery at all but really enjoyed the book!

Good twists

Engaging with some surprises. Sometimes the author lingers way too long in a scene with the characters repeating themselves. Also too many references to throwing up. Performed well.

Starts slow. Felt predictable. BUT ended great!

Great to listen too. It's felt like it was off to a little bit of a slow start. And also felt predictable. But there's a little twist at the end that I wasn't expecting. Definitely worth the listen.

review

I am an avid reader of this author and have read her Hex series and Lacey Luzzi series of her books which are great, funny and narrated well. I was able to read it and follow the story but did not find it to be engrossing. I was determined to finish but the plot was a little too contrived and too many characters involved in the plot. It’s an okay book but certainly not a page turner.

A totally new style!

I am accustom to reading at Gina’s Romano’s supernatural romance novels such as the Enchanted Inc series, so the idea of a more traditional murder mystery threw me off at first. However, that being said I really enjoyed the story. The women characters had complexity and unique personalities they kept the plot moving. The twists and turns in the story kept me guessing and wondering what would happen next. I found myself finishing the book in one sitting. Much better than watching football on New Year’s Day.

A quick and fun read

Overall I enjoyed the book. It was a quick and an easy to listen to book with likable characters. I enjoyed the way the author wrapped up the book. It reminded me a lot of Big Little Lies.
