Publisher's summary

In this now classic exhortation to intercessory prayer, famed Congregational missionary Frank Laubach outlines the promises and pitfall of praying for others. Though prayer remains the "mightiest force in the world", its power is often diluted by parochialism and personal selfishness, which Christians can together overcome.

One of the most powerful books on prayer

In this book Frank’s short chapters hit me like powerful rapid fire shots of faith and encouragement to pray! The context - just after World War Two - felt very relevant for today. I have already started filling more of the “kinks of time” in my days with prayer. I plan to make it a habit and then a lifestyle. Praying for you!

Still True

I read this first about 50 years ago. It is still as informative, inspiring and instructive regarding prayer as it was then. It has many lessons I have put into practice and one of my favorite even though times have changed. We still face many of the same challenges. Prayer is a mighty tool for encouragement and healing. However, I believe the Holy Spirit is the key to connecting us and our spiritual insight through Jesus to God.
